That is the beauty of Americans . They only care about the aspect of government that involves them. That's why ere isn't enou pressure on Government to speed up the immigration project, because the every day average American doesn't really know about immigration process ,unless they have an immigrant in their immediate family.

What really offends/annoys me about this whole ordeal , as someone who sometimes impatiently waited for her turn in this immigration system, is how dead set OP is on making asylum work. SHE IGNORED THE IMMIGRATION PROCESS. She was given an equal chances just like everyone else, and she chose to ignore it, plain and simple

The problem with staying is her attitude. She sounds like the type who will move over to complete, full on abuse if she gets away with the cheating. She sounds like she is not interested in the slightest

Because the answer should match the depth of the mistake. OPs second mistake was posting this here. Because at any given time, if USCIS finds out about a lie or cheating your way into the system somehow, even if you are a citizen, you will lose your citizenship and get deported. So there you go. That's why you should never lie, ever, ever, ever, no matter what.

They asked a bunch if questions that even they didn't know the answer to, like the first couple you mentioned about your personal life. Looks to me like they were convinced your relationship is a fraud and were going to deny you anyways unless your husband proved otherwise

You an come to the states just fine. You won't be denied at POE. However you won't be able to file for AOS without a co sponsor or you could also wait till he gets a job and has proof of steady income and file on your own with him as your sponsor. There is no certain time limit for you to file for AOS after you come to the states, so don't worry

I don't **always** advise it, it depends on the situation.
It's not the easiest way out, it's the safest and best way out in many cases (of course there are some countries where returning is considered "shame") and sometimes VERY hard, especially emotionally to pack up and basically start from square one all over again.
No-one wants to live in a shelter, especially if they have kids, and live somewhere where they have no status, and are unable to work for a while, while they wait and HOPE the paperwork goes in their favour. And yes, most people I know would return, no matter the shame (and in fact a friend of mine did) because it was the smart decision and because the GC isn't the reason they live in the US, they have no reason to stay in the US without their spouse. My friend didn't want to struggle (she had her GC, she was totally legal and totally able to stay). She wanted to be around her family and friends to support her emotionally.
Good luck with your mission to stay.

Here is the thing,Angeles might be the sin city, but the COs are not naive. Is not like uscis and department of homeland security mass train a group of officers and send them off to different countries. Each consulate has officers who are aware of the norms and cultural differences. So don't be dead set in justifying denial with the idea that the CO couldn't tell the difference between an Internet cafe and a bar or that they think everyone from Angeles is a prostitute .

How is our embassy being 'unfair?' Who stole something, the embassy personnel..or you? Answer: You. Why should the US of A admit people who steal? Why should we believe you won't do it again? Why should we believe YOUR version of these events? I think it would be unfair to me, as an American taxpayer, if our embassy did give you a visa. What would the penalty have been in Egypt for stealing? Probably something worse than not getting a visa.

How is the embassy unfair? As they see the situation you were arrested while in America. Were you ever charged with the crime? Was there a court date that you missed? If you were not charged with the crime and no court date was ever scheduled than a good lawyer may be able to convince USCIS/consulate that you were arrested due to a misunderstanding. This was a good catch by the consulate!!!!

Your title for the post is completely wrong, it seems you had a court hearing which you missed and you have had a police report of shoplifting.
Not knowing or one was not aware is not acceptable excuse, tourist visa is not a right it’s a privilege.
Did police give you any documents before they let you go?
There is not much you can do and it would be really difficult for you to get any visa in future.

You were trying to steal stuff, you got arrested, no more tourist visa. Pretty simple.
About the title of your post: Why do you think the consulate is unfair and what according to you is that false information?

There aren't any issues for "immigrant intent" with a spousal visa. A spousal visa IS for immigrant intent, so being denied entry for immigrant intent does NOT affect you.
The only issue here right now is what that piece of paper says.

I'm sorry but a spousal visa is your only option. They have accused him of immigrant intent. he is unlikely to ever be permitted to get another visitor visa.

Well you LIVE in America, you will be bringing your 16 year old WIFE TO AMERICA. you will be judged by the rules and regulations of America. If you are wealthy. I suggest you take a year off school, or like you said. Wait till December till you're out of school, go to a third country, wherever you like, get married and live together for a couple of months, maybe a year. Gather evidence of marriage and living under the same roof and get to know her as a wife. Women are more complicated than you think. How a woman is as a sister, daughter or girlfriend doesn't defy what she will be like as a wife. I don't agree with your views at all. Nc I actually think if American culture bothers you so much, you should move to an Islamic country, but since this not about me or my views, my thoughts to you is what I stated.
