If he is doing this first time, and if you weren't hospitalized he could get away with Pre Trial Intervention(PTI). Since there is no hospitalization then it could be a misdemeanor and your husband can plea guilty of charges in front of Judge. Judge might grant PTI program if he believes the this is a misdemeanor and he could go to Anger Management classes. After finishing Anger Management classes he could expunge his CDV record via solicitor. Again if the case is misdemeanor and if it is not felony (meaning if he has done this twice he cannot get away with) you have a chance. You really need to talk to a professional Lawyer who has experience with Immigration and Domestic Violence..Just my two cents..

First...there is no need to shout. I do not understand why you dont understand that when you use capital letter, it is shouting.
Second.. this is called visa journey.... The definition of journey is taking a path and discovering new things. So if folks type things that seem repetitive, it is only that they are discovering things on their journey. This isnt caled "visaIKnowEveryThing.com. Third This journey we are all taking is a long, hard and emotional one and sometimes some people may need to vent things when they are upset or frustrated because we are all in love and miss our loved ones. So are you venting because you are frustrated If so , I can understand it but maybe you should vent about your own issues and not blast others for trying to learn and understand what to do on their own visa journey.

my fiance got a green slip 221g during his interview in Turkey asking for more evidence. and they gave him his passport back. the green paper asked for more phone and skype records and for him to send the documents and his passport to the embassy and the visa would be approved in 2 weeks. we did as they said, i sent them an additional 225 pages of communication (probably overkill) but almost 2 weeks to the day later his passport was sent to him with the visa stamp, he was approved and now he is here with me in Pennsylvania, USA and we are married one month and everything worked out fine.

A little odd, but I would just take it as a good sign. Perhaps they are just waiting for the documents they need before they can give the official approval and issue the visa.

Thats why it sucks if now mine says I have an alien registration number and Im not getting approved, then later Ill have nothing to tip me off that NOA2 is coming

very happy for you personally, but this is extremely unfair for those of us who filed before you. i hope this is not an on going occurence, it is only fair that every one waits their turn. we are all in the same boat here, we all just want to be with our partner.

I agree COMPLETELY!!! ......I think it is wonderful that their dreams are taking place, much faster than all of us. But it does hurt, to know I have waited for so long too, and someone else gets an approval almost instantly. I think we have all spent numerous hours in making our fiance packet, the very best that it can be. And in under normal circumstance, those documents aren't even viewed for months after the NOA1. So, there was alot of luck in getting a 14 day approval, but I also believe there was a mistake somewhere in the process for that to happen. Humans do make mistakes and maybe the file was put in a wrong box, to be processed......Anyways, Congrats to the petitioner!!! I know you must be thrilled!!! Good luck in your journey

It's not a negative comment, it's a simple truth: you were lucky; no one begrudges you your approval, but think of the people who have been waiting for months with no end in sight, where is their approval? Elevating you above them due to an administrative mistake is disingenuous to those waiting.
It certainly isn't your fault, but spare a thought for those people.

As a few have advised, try to find out what is needed to satisfy the conditions that Casablanca tends to focus on. You have gotten some great links to go and read up on. IMO, you have been living together in Spain that could be very good proof that you two have an on-going relationship. Find ways to get that in writing, lease etc.. If its one thing I've learned from this site is there are members that are willing to give you information you are asking, and then there are those that have been through the process successfully and for some reason they are waiting for the opportunity to attack (perhaps they aren't happy) . You handled yourself well
