That makes no sense. YOUR information has no bearing on whether the car is compliant or not. Why are you calling Honda America and not Honda in Canada. Isn't that where you need to get it? They should just issue it based on the VIN. I would call in and try to speak to someone more knowledgeable about it!! When I did mine though GM it was a piece of cake and it was all in Canada!

Yes, but Canadian passports aren't generally stamped when we come into the States as visitors. Sometimes they ask how long we're staying, sometimes they don't. A Canadian driving across isn't going to have an I-94 to refer to.
Do you fly or drive? Aaron brought up a good point about the I-94 but it isn't used when we drive back and forth as Canadians.

You're in Washington State. How close to British Columbia are you? Tell him to visit Canada instead and have a small civil ceremony in British Columbia. Have a mini vacation. He can go home and you can go home and you can file as a married couple. Just another option to consider.

I would expect that you would have more of a challenge to provide evidence of your relationship being legit if you just cancelled one and so quickly turned around to make another application. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding your post but it seems like you've already found another fiance and are ready to file again? Or if you are just asking for down the road then I don't see why it would be a concern then. People break up. It happens. The CO would understand such a thing. As I stated though it might raise a red flag if you're filing immediately for a new fiance after withdrawing so recently. But again, I'm not sure if that's what you meant in your post.
Good luck with your journey, wherever it takes you!

Ms Hogan got a reaction from S & P in OHIP COVERAGE while in the US
You cannot have OHIP if you are not a resident of Ontario. End of story. You can pay cash though and if you are just doing regular checkups it isn't as expensive as you might think. I pushed the boundaries a bit because I did my POE in March of 2013 but didn't actually move until June of 2013. Even though we were still in Ontario and Ontario considered us residents, I felt that it wasn't right to abuse the system and paid cash for my appointments and my kids' appointments. I had hoped we wouldn't need any before we left Canada but we did a couple of times.
I can understand missing the doctors and the system, that's for sure. When my aunt was being treated for cancer about 10 years ago we wanted to bring her back to Canada for treatment but even then she was going to have to wait 3 months to qualify! Crazy. But it is what it is. The system is for residents. If we are residents in American then we cannot be residents in Ontario. We can't have our cake and eat it, too. I'm sure plenty of people lie and pull it off but as others have pointed out, that would indeed be fraud.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do. I know if I were sick with something serious, I would think long and hard about moving back.

There are many different reasons for checklists but they are either because something is missing entirely, something was left blank, something doesn't match something it should, or the person reading it can't (or WON'T) make out what it says!
I received a checklist for one of my children's paperwork. Even though it was the EXACT same as mine and my other son's, whoever was reading it sent us a checklist to say the total on the AOS document didn't match the tax return. It sure as S--- DID match but there was no point arguing and wasting time about it. I sent the exact same document in again and it was accepted. And by exact same document I mean the exact same attachment that had already been sent and magically it matched. My guess was that it was printed poorly on their end or the person just couldn't see the number clearly. I have no idea for sure but the same document read by different eyes was apparently not legible.
Other people get checklists for typos or leaving things blank that need to be filled in. Everything needs to match and line up. The person adjudicating the case can't look at it and say "Well I know what they MEANT to write" and let it go. It has to be precise.
Take time when filing everything out and don't miss anything. This process is stressful enough as it is. If you take your time to not miss anything then you at least know you did your part and the rest is up to the person on the other end. Make it easy for them!

I'm just going to chime in here on something not related at all to the OP so please forgive me. I just want to say how thrilled I am to be reading about the progress of same sex couples. Two and a half years ago when i started coming here to prepare for my visa journey this type of thread wasn't even happening as far as I know.
So I just want to say how happy I am for all those same sex couples out there who are able to start this journey. I hope a lot of couples on the board happen to see this though I doubt they will as it is a bit of a random post in a random place.
For those of us who think WE waited a long time to be with our loved ones (I'm not one... I got lucky and was fast) there are so many other couples who have been together for years and simply had no option just because they were of the same sex. So congrats to all of you who are finally able to be together!!!!

They can't affect my credit in America which is now really good. Unless I've been mistaken all this time. I've asked my parents to just tell them they have the wrong number, I don't live there, nor has that ever been my phone number and that they are being harassed by them. Hopefully that works. We shall see!

I carried 4 binders. One was for each of us (myself and 2 kids) with a copy of every document we submitted along the way. And one large binder with all of our original documents ready to go.
I managed to do it with two kids in tow. No bags needed.
