Thanks for every one's responses who were genuine. We went to his mosque and spoke with an Imam and told him it was fine to go. We went and payed our respects to my Great Aunt and the rest of my family. My husband was rather happy he could go.

My first two children are 9 and 6 and thank God its gone quite smoothly for us. I try not to undermine my husband. I TRY to discuss things in private unless I feel that he is starting to discipline them for something I have previously allowed. It was difficult at first, but my kids adore my husband and have embraced him in a special way. Only they know how they feel inside but they give him all the respect of a father and freely give their love to them. Its tricky sure-- we've had many discussions, some in front of the kids on our differing opinions. I still hold the ultimate decision when it comes to them but I have trust in my husband's decisions as well.

You can either use just the second name as a middle or put the second and third names as middles. My husband put his second and third name as a middle. It was hyphenated to make it work as a double middle ie abdelrazek-abdelmoaty.

For the first time in 11 years of marriage, my husband got me a valentines gift. We dont exchange gifts for these thing so I had to let out a huge chuckle when he gave me dill flavored cheese curds and said happy valentines. He picked them up ar a truck stop in wisconsin on Thursday. It was hilarious.

First let me say, Mimo I pray that all goes well with chemo and you have the strength to face the therapy.
To add to the thread, my husband Tarik and I have been together over four years and plan to celebrate our fourth anniversary in Morocco this summer. Much like everyone it has taken work, understanding, patience (he helped me), consideration for each other to get here. Honestly, he has been great, seeing him grow in his English skills, learning slang, he has become a comedian and is quite good at comebacks. He helps me at home, learned how to cook a bit any little thing he does to make me feel special counts and vice versa. I am working on my Masters so when I study I hear him in the kitchen with my teen son talking about everything under the sun, what a great feeling knowing he has found his place in the family. I knew how he would feel when he left home as I experienced the same at age 18 when I joined the Army and left the US for the first four years. I was very accommodating to his needs so the first few months we travelled a bit so he could meet my family (13 siblings) to integrate him. He quickly started ESL classes, started driving and he went to temporary agencies to get work until he found a permanent job.
He is not much of a social person with other Moroccans, he prefers to volunteer at church and with the Parks and Recreation Department and has made great friends with the neighbors. Interesting enough older people gravitate to him at every gathering we ever attend. The funniest thing to happen to him, he was asked where he was from and of course his response was "Morocco." Then he was asked, "is that in Mexico?" I about fell out laughing so hard. We live near San Antonio and he is always asked if he is Mexican or they speak to him in Spanish. I always have to explain he does not speak Spanish.
It is a blast being married to him, there is never a dull moment and yes I love his accent and how he regularly says things back wards. Next in line is his citizenship and then the sky is the limit as I love to travel and he is too willing to please me and experience life....
Yes there is good and bad everywhere if I had picked a bad apple, I would never blame all Moroccans I would say "shame on me" learn from the experience, have no regrets and move forward life is too short to have it any other way.
I bought the cutest shirt from Amazon last night that says, "My Husband was Imported from Morocco." I bought it to use during Zumba lol he thinks I am silly but I liked it.
    Much Love from Texas...

My girlfriend has been married almost 2 years to a Moroccan man who was hear on a student visa. He has been an amazing husband to her and they are really such a great match. They knew each other only a couple months when they married-- though it was done through halal/Islamic terms with the intent of marriage from day 1 (or ruling out their compatibility). They spent 6 months in Morocco recently. They are an adorable couple and I pray God blesses them with many children and a long life together.

hehe waiting on the IR1 is a good idea. Waiting until the last day to travel is not
I agree you'd save yourself a good $590 and no need to prove you have a genuine relationship again in 2 years.

He can redo the medical and have the validility extended.
Sometimes it's cheaper to buy a round trip ticekt and just let the return journey expire

He could show up on your wedding anniversary date and get the IR1. Just have a copy of the marriage certificate to show the CBP to make sure they stamp the passport correctly.

I'll be brutally honest here. He waited 10 months in AP. Does this last obligation REALLY matter that much? He's leaving the country.... Better to be in the USA before that visa expires!

Thanks for straightening me out So ready to be done with this tedious and annoying process...
Okay so--- March 17, does he have to enter ON or Before that date?
