You can move wherever you want to. However he will abandon his LPR status by moving overseas and that will require him to get s tourist visa or use VWP if eligible to visit the US

I agree with every answer here just except I think the expired GC will not be validated with the I551-The I551 stamp will be your new green card essentially. You will need to show them the stamp and probably give a copy of it. Although your A number will be the same so if they do any background check you will be fine.
 
I have one friend that was rejected on borrowing with extension letter and I-551, and another granted loan with slightly higher borrowing rate, so yes I think it depends on the lenders.
 
Please don't stress yourself, it's very annoying but don't let it be a disturbance of your life. My friend who was rejected ended up renting an apartment for 6 months and bought another house after that. It will all work out eventually. Best of luck!

They need to see that the account is actually being used, I would at a minimum send the complete statement for the months you are choosing to send, and personally I will send the complete statement from every month

During the whole duration of the process, from AOS to N-400 which Im applying for now, I only sent the first statement then 3 random statements per year (usually Jan-July or Aug-Nov or Dec), and the latest 3 statements and so far had no issues nor was questioned about it. It was still bulky but not as much if I send all the statements.

Report on his flight. My husband took the Norwegian flight from Gatwick to Fort Lauderdale. He said at the Gatwick they were jerks. Even after showing the agent his passport she almost refused to let him board without an ESTA. After a good fight he got on his flight. He said it was a great flight the staff were a mix of American and European staff. They treated him great. The plane was very nice (Boeing 787-8). He said it was also a very smooth ride the whole way. He would recommend them in the future.

Does my husband need money at the embassy? We paid the IV fee through NVC. I know he will have a $165 fee that he can pay online after the interview, but I just want to make sure he won't need money at the embassy.

My husband completed his medical and Dr said everything from the visit looked good (except blood test of course were not ready yet). In 29 days he will have his interview and I am so nervous. I am not sure why.

Yes you are correct - I have just got back from collecting my Document Pack - and just like London buses - you wait forever and then two come along!!! Yes I have two visas printed in my Passport!! Although one has "cancelled without prejudice" stamped across it. they are identical apart from the serial number!! I can only assume that some over zealous admin person printed and stuck it in my passport twice!! The package had the famous Brown Envelope inside it also - although mine is a big white one - LOL!! Now I need to log in and pay the final $165 to get my Green Card processed!!
I must say that the speed mine has been processed was fantastic, and I'm sure you will soon get good news.

Just a quick update - Checked the CEAC Case Update site and it states that my Visa has been ISSUED and that it was printed today!!

So I think that some of the staff there really do have their fingers on the pulse as that's what both the staff I spoke to said, that it would be printed today or at the latest Tuesday (Monday being a holiday here!) - So it should be back with me late next week as advised!!

Congrats on your case complete! If you've sent all the required documents to NVC it's unlikely your P4 will note anything special to bring. Plan to bring the interview letter, passport, passport photos, and a copy of everything sent to NVC just in case. Since we received ours just recently I'll show you what they wrote for us:
