Give USCIS the time and courtesy to complete the process, its too early to get a congresscritter involved. I understand your petition has been delayed as a result of the lag time between RFE and RFE response, but that 60 days reply is the standard boiler plate from USCIC.

Well Visa Journey, it has been a great time going through my Journey with you guys. I have never really posted anything on the website before, but I have read numerous stories; some heart breaking, some very informative, and some were quite motivational. I just want to thank all of you for your stories as it has helped me get through this tuff time. I started this journey April 15, 2011 and here it is a whole year later, and finally, my husband has his visa in hand and his plane ticket. I finally get to see the love of my life after 10 long months of absence on 04/21/2012. It has been one ruff and rocky road. There were several hurtles and bumps along the way, but WE DID IT! I didn’t think I was strong enough to make it, but I guess I underestimated myself. I just want to say to that person that feels like giving up, I have been there and back! You can do it though, it’s hard, but you can do it. If you ever want to talk and hear my roller coaster of a story, I am here. Once again, THANK YOU ALL!!

Thank you - but don't feel angry when you read this. I was mad before, that turned into disappointment, sadness, and now I'm at a point where I'm just dealing with it because I have no other choice. I pray a lot...and I know my prayers are being heard because I have been spared so much more grief that could have happened to me. We had planned on having a child, and it was going to be a process to make that happen. I'm grateful it never got to that point or to the point he stole money or became desperate and did something worse. He has a new girl in his life right now....and I'm glad, because that just allows me to get over this faster.

Mr. Miami I was very impatient until I started this process however as you can tell I am so relaxed about this whole process I don't even believe it. yes am anxious for everything to finish but I know that God has all of our cases in his hands and I know he will let us know when our time has come. I do agree with you, you and your status are very positive and I love everyone of those messages, like you have 8 months without seeing my hubby just talking on the phone not even on webcam so I know the feeling all to well.. I really do miss him dearly but am excited cuz God has helped me in many ways I am now going in May for a weekend to celebrate my one year anniversary with him and the family and then ill go back for the interview then hopefully if all goes well back again in August to pick up my babies :dance: The whole DR crew is great and wonderful couldn't have asked for a better crew

I am a very impatient person but I have learned a lot through this process. I am stressed because things are a bit crazy for me now but I am relaxed and very positive about this whole process. As far as I know, all of my VJ friends are positive and I would love to think that I am myself. There are just some days that things feel like they are taking forever and I miss mi reina. To be honest this post was not for me, I put it up here for you, Steph, Alia, Jersey, and others because I know it is worse for you guys. All those things that you said that you do to pass the time, I do it all the time but I still think about it a lot. I am not really a complainer or negative person and you could tell from a lot of my status updates that I love to be positive. I must admit though that all of you guys have been great through this whole process and we have all made friends for a long time to come because of VJ.

I believe you are stressing for no reason ,, You need to relax and take it easy, Keep positive you know what helps me a lot working, hanging out with my kids, vj, walking, listening to music, and talking to people that are positive. am very grateful for my VJ friends who are positive 2 who actually have helped me a lot on VJ and by phone have been SAM and of course my dear friend V who i was actually on the phone with when I got my NOA2. and of course Matt who I tend to drive crazy with all my questions since am also bring my step son.. lmao Surround yourself with positive energy and will find that 19 days is not as far as you think B-)

One other reason I think it's a great idea is due to the language barriers. Sometimes, people who's first language is not English have a difficult time understanding things that we feel are easy. In this case a video would be extremely helpful. Look how many people use YouTube for tutorialson just about anything. Definitely a great addition.

Just be very smart. We are all adults here so don't ignore anything that seems "weird" or fishy" because you are blinded by love. I have seen and read my fare share of horror stories, some from our very own vj members. Don't be discouraged just be cognizant.

How long have you known him? Be very careful, Dominicans are masters of sweet talking, and many are desperate for a visa. I guess it is a little too late to be second guessing yourself since you already submitted the paperwork. Keep making visits, perhaps a surprise visit and I wish you the best of luck. Remember we are all taking risks here even if we are super sure the love we have with someone is 100% real. Just be smart.

No, she will not need to do anything. This is a non-issue for the USC petitioner filing an I-130.
You may be confusing the need to send court records for SOME convictions when submitting an I-129F but this "crime" is not one on that list anyway.

A few answers for some great posts.
I discovered the scam when we were home and our computer kept popping up the same screen name over and over. With her sitting right there I googled the screen name and it came up with the name of a Vietnamese man, then she confessed. I told her family, and she promised to stop. Of course she didn't.
ICE can't investigate every case I understand, but her sponsors contacted ICE, and my congressman contacted ICE. So, now they have it on file.
USCIS was notified before her K-1 expired but after we were married. At least they know. My worry is that USCIS and ICE are not sharing data well. According to testimony at the child custody hearing the ICE agents didn't know what her status was. That is scary since that was several months after all this happened.
Abuse? There was no abuse. No police reports, no harassing emails, no testimonials. She "imprisoned" herself with her unwavering love for her man back in her home country. If she was miserable, that is just tough toe nails. She made her bed, now she has sleep in it.
I will know if she is successful or not, because if she does get her green card fraudulently she will come back after the child. More battles lie ahead.
All contact is supervised. I'm not stupid. Yes, she turned on the charm and tried to stay in my home. I said no of course. The one time she did see our child she showed up with an Asian thug. Very scary.
Vietnamese women as scammers. I don't know the statistics, but when I did go to USCIS and say I was there to report romance fraud the woman right away said Russian, Filipina or Vietnamese?!!!
My big question now is how long is typical until she gets a notification of removal proceedings?

We all started like you did....knowing nothing and learning as we went along....sometime the hard way. But my best advice to you is.....if you are ever doubtful about something like sending a paper or submitting something or calling somewhere....as us first because one wrong move can delay or screw up your journey. These people in the the visa offices are not forgiving and they are like worker bee's.....no sympathy, no emotion....never think they will be understanding because they won't.
There's a lot of people here to help you....especially the DR crew..lol.....we live on here and help each other a lot.

I wouldn't worry about the hard copy of the NOA1 as long as you have confirmation via text/email, that is enough. I'm sure you also verified with with USCIS that it, in fact, was approved.
As others said, you should request a hardcopy, for your files, but the more important hard copy would be the NOA2. As you know, the wait right now seems like forever for the NOA2. But don't get discouraged. When I started my process I received mine in 42 days. At that time there was a 3 month wait. Those timelines change once they are caught up but right now there is an overload so just be patient and expect to wait long, that way if you are lucky enough to get it sooner, you wouldn't have had your hopes up.
And yea, make sure to keep the timeline up to date so we can help you out.
BTW...no question is stupid. I've asked many and it was probably the millionth time that same question was asked.....

NEVER let this process get the best of you - stay positive and focus on your life and what's important, because regardless of the outcome, your life will have to continue.
