I read age gap is an issue sometimes. I'm 30 shes 35. Is this a problem?

I the US citizen and 30 to clarify. Shes Japanese.

Also I'm just about ready to file the I129F.

Was also wondering if the wet ink signature wave for that still is in effect? I did hire a lawyer to help me fill out the forms. He told me it was okay due to covid but I wanted a second opinion on that.

    Thank you guys! 😊

5 years difference, no problem at all.

The Dallas location received my I-129f on September 2nd, according to USPS tracking, as well as cashed my check. However, I still have not received my NOA1. Is this concerning? On the timeline, I notice that people are getting their NOA1's within a week or so. To be clear, they will mail something to me and/or email me, right?

I'm worried I did something incorrectly.

With this time of covid things have taken longer than normal.  Some couples differ, some get it sooner, some much later.  Maybe after about 4- 6 weeks contact USCIS.

I received an I-864 RFE today stating that it could not be determined that I the petitioner am qualified.  I am not sure why they say I am not because my income last year was 50k per year and that is well above the qualification limit, as well as the two previous years.  Also, this year my projected income is around 47 - 52k per year and I sent in all my pay stubs for this year.   So what would cause them to say I am not qualified?  ANy experience with this RFE for I 485 applicants?

When I applied for Wife's AOS, we received an RFE for documents we already submitted with the package.  It's an ongoing trend it seems like, happens to majority of couples.

Hi guys, so our experience was a little bit odd. We had our interview on march 29th, 2021 at Chicago office. In that interview, the officer approved our case on the spot, and told us we would receive conditional green card, and we would have to apply for 10 year one after 2 years. So we were so happy about the approval. But then, we didn't receive anything until now. It's been almost 6 months already. Our case status stuck on the " interview was scheduled " phase. We did multiple service requests. They didn't work. I'm just so frustrated now.  We don't know what to do. Does any of you guys have any similar experience like this, or have any advice on this?  It would be appreciated. Thank you!

So you didnt receive your green card until now?  Or still waiting?

Hi everyone, would love to have your advice.

Our 90 day window to submit our ROC opened today and we’re finalizing the  package. We were originally going to send it out today but decided to wait to make sure we have everything we need to get. Just have a few questions.

    1. Credit Card payment - My wife and I live in New York. We don’t know which service center we will get but we were thinking of sending a credit card payment. When we filed before for the two year GC we paid with check. Did anyone file with credit card and was there a significant difference? Worried that our case might not be at a facility that does credit card payments because we’re sending from New York. But I saw a lawyer’s video on YouTube and he said applications are started sooner with a credit card payment. So,  we’re curious if we should send our payment that way.

    2. Banks statement and Credit card statements - we printed out all our statements from the time we opened the joint accounts but it is so thick and bulky. Was thinking of doing the last six months of both the bank and credit card statements and then every two months starting from when we opened our account. Would love some insight on what others did for these. Not sure how to send it. Also if we decide to send the bank statements - every two months since we opened the account + last six months, should we include another file in our package just for our rent checks because some of the statement will be left out that include our rent payments? What do you suggest?

    3. Utility Bill - Did anyone have an issue with their utility bill being in one name? We tried early on when we opened it to get it in both our names but we were told that it could only be in one persons name. Will this be an issue?

Btw - For the utility bill we were planning on sending statements for every two months from when we started to now. Since the bills were pretty much the same every month.

    4. Package - Did everyone use paper clips and binder clips to organized their paperwork? A lot of our paperwork, the statements for example are very thick (especially if we have to send the whole two years) and this make the package as a whole, huge. Did anyone use those two hole fasteners? I saw in the instructions on USCIS website they suggest using it for thick and bulky papers but we are hesitant to make holes on our documents. Did anyone have any luck with using those or just binders and clips?

Would appreciate any feedback and advice you may have.  Good luck to everyone who is also sending out packages. Thank you

I too recommend paying with a check or money order.

When we submitted our ROC package, we separated all paperwork with the plastic sheet sleeves and organize them in a binder.

Hi all. I know that the initial filing fee is $535. My fiancé saw that the total cost of the visa ends up being around $2,000. Can anyone explain to me what the rest of the fees go to, and around when do they usually have to be paid? Confused on this. Any help is appreciated!

That's correct about the K-1, but when you start to add medical, and of course along with AOS, it starts to add up.

Hello. I have a question concerning the I-134 form. Not sure if I'm in the right spot to post this. Do I include my fiances information under the "Dependents' Information" section where it ask who your dependents are? I'm single with no dependents except for my fiance when she becomes my wife. Thanks for any responses.

    No your fiance is excluded

    Hello!

I have my interview coming up soon and I have a few questions. My wife and I moved a few months back and we both updated our addresses through the online forms but for the interview would I need to bring an updated i485 and i765 as well or would it already be updated on their petitions through the ar11 forms? We are already goong to prepare an updated i864

    No it's not required.

    Hi all

I originally thought I submitted enough evidence, but after seeing a few posts, I am beginning to question.  My question is specifically about the bank account statements.  I went back through our online bank account statements and printed a bunch from various dates from what was available online.  I did not print every statement since I did not want to waste the paper and ink (maybe that wasn't the best idea).. I did include a bunch, and chose  dates throughout the time that was available - it went back about 2 years. I did the same with the gas utility bills.

Below is what evidence I submitted.

What do you guys think? Particularly about the bank account statements?

    a)     Copy of joint lease - it was a 1 year lease

    b)    Copy of bank account statements from various dates over past 2 years

    c)     Copy of first pages of state & federal joint tax returns from 2020, 2019&2018

    d)    Copy of marriage certificate

    e)     Copy of drivers licenses of both spouses

    f)     Copy of gas utility bills from various dates over past year

    g)    Copy of auto insurance information that lists both spouses as drivers

    h)    Copy of health insurance card that lists both spouses

    i)      Copy of affidavit #1

    j)      Copy of affidavit #2

    k)    Copy of some recent photographs

    l)      Copy of recent flight information from trip together

    Thanks

    Rebecca

As far as bank statements are concerned, recommend just printing the quarterly statements, rather than every month.  Save time and of course paper!

My wife has done the biometrics for her AOS and currently waiting on her interview.  The timing is not working out really well but I just received orders and I dont think leaving for another country without her will work.

I just called USCIS and they told me to write a letter to NBC to request the expedite.  Is this who you have sent your request to?  Also is it possible to do this via email since I am a bit skeptical on mailing a physical copy of my orders anywhere.  Thanks.

I wrote the expedite directly to USCIS and 2 weeks later my wife got her interview.

I say snail mail because you can provide more supporting documents, such as your orders.

If you PM me.with your email, I can send you a template which will help!

I need some help figuring out the i-134 situation, I am  the petitioner for K-1 visa for  my Brazilian fiancee. We received  a email from the consulate on Aug 18 with instructions to complete ds 160, schedule interview, get background checks from local and federal back ground checks, schedule medical appt, etc I was able to schedule a interview on Oct 8 without realizing the i-134 may be an issue. I'm not sure if this email I have is a P 3 letter, or not. It does not have any instructions to complete i-134. How long is needed for the i-134 to process? Will I be required to go for an in person interview in my city (Denver). Will it be possible to complete this before Sep 21 ( Im going to Italy for a wedding and directly to Brazil on Oct 1 to be with my fiancee for the interview).  Thanks in advance for your help!

The form itself takes a day and then you bring it to the interview.

Hello everyone. i am in the process of obtaining K1 visa for fiancee in thailand.  It has been an exhausting experience so far with countless hours of research and mind boggling information and countless information contradictions from MANY sources as well. ( and ive only finished the 129f application info so far!) I am glad i found this site and have learned alot so far, and cleared up a lot of confusion with the information available here.... Moving on now to assembling the supporting documents and i have a question if anyone could offer information. All photos of 1 trip to Thailand (me) and 3 trips to America ( her) were taken with our cell phones. She is  good on the computer and has assembled photos in a template w/ 6 photos on each page with descriptions of the activity presented in the photo.  I then  printed these pages out on glossy photo paper. NOW In researching minimum size of said photos I have come across several sources indicating this format will be rejected and the photos need to be full size and individual  printed by a photo studio such as walgreens photo service. I cannot find any info on USICS site stating requirements for size and format for proof of meeting in person photos. Any one who could offer any information on this would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks mike.

The photos dont need a particular size just as long as they are clear.  And of course the date and information of each photo is legible.

Hi, guys. My fiancé and I are waiting for noa 2. And we submitted all initial evidence . But we heard that USCIS may request for initial evidence that we already submitted. Then what do we have to do for reaction and response? We need to send them same initial evidence we sent at first time? Sorry for keep asking. Please let me know if you know. I need more information of RFE

You will have to wait until you actually get an RFE.  You may not even receive one.  If you do, the directions will be clear and precise on the RFE

I was checking flights to scandavian countries (just yesterday) to see norhtern lights and i found round tirp to Oslo for under $500

Adil came home and was checking to Paris to see his brother  over $1100

i said look at roundtrip from Olso to Paris- it was under $200-so a trip to both countries from Atlanta could be cheaper

Basically when you look at fares,  there are so many ways to do trips

i could fly Atlanta to Oslo,  and to Paris and back cheaper than Atlanta to Paris

I have even bought 2 tickets to Morocco like this

from here to NYC and then NYC to morocco cheaper than asking for Altanta to Casa

Try every way possible when looking for tickets

Before I plan travel, I uses Expedia just to get an idea of how much a trip would cost.  I mainly fly Alaska and Delta regardless.
