Thanks Carolina, I sent it at lunch time, 6 hours ago certified, which means I can track it online. Its estimated to reach Monday. Its in the works so I'm happy. Now so much stuff to do to get all the paperwork and things ready for her!

No not yet, NVC and the consulate keeps giving us weird replies after telling us that the case was being forwarded to Brazil We keep calling NVC and DOS but no case # yet, or petition received at the consulate... sucks big time .. but oh well, we might have some good surprise soon!

This is USCIS processing time, every case its different, you can receive an RFE (request for evidence), or not... Our NOA2 didn't take long at all, and I was ready to wait more, thank God we got it sooner than we expected. Patience is the key, even though sometimes you lose it lol

TDaP vaccination done has a few mins... this hurts now, my arm its kinda numb

Good Grief, what a relief!!! I got the RFE letter and it says I forgot to check yes or no on page 3 part c question 2 of form I-129F about past criminal activity, violence and all.

Thats it, thats it! OMG, bless you USCIS adjucator, you could have been really nit picky about all the other stuff but you weren't and you gave me a simple Get Out Of Jail Free card and Pass Go and collect a fortune in gold while you're at it!!!

I got an email from the consulate saying that still no petition there, so we'll keep calling NVC and DOS until we hear some solid answer from them and get the RDJ. So far it's good, we're just trying to figure out what's the right procedure.

Why does this NVC and "case number" thing seem so cloudy? I need help please. I have talked to 2 different female operators from NVC. The first one was very short and blunt with me, telling me that my petition hasn't been there yet... asked me when NOA2 date was. I told her and she said "yea it usually takes about a month for us to receive it after approval. I call today... different operator. She was much more friendly, blah blah blah... She asked me if it said in my approval letter, that it'd be forwarded to the consulate or to nvc first. I told her, directly to the consulate. She said so yea, it won't come here, it'll just go straight to the consulate. You need to keep calling them for your case #. I asked her "Are you positive?"

O: Yes, didn't you just tell me that's on your letter.

M: yea, but I've heard different things.

O: yeah you need to contact the consulate. Do you need their number?

M: No I don't need it... my fiancee can contact her embassy about it can't she?

O: yea she can

Now, Carolina, from what she reads/ others' timelines... it's very fast for Brazil k1 petitions to go to nvc, and to the consulate. Do I believe the 2nd operator? I don't trust any of them really. I thought about calling again tomorrow to hear what a 3rd person says hahaha... But if it's at the consulate already... Won't DEPARTMENT OF STATE, DOS, know?

I found it yesterday evening - It tells you how to speak with a human being both at NVC to inquire about your petition. Moreover after some days you can contact DOS to verify if the Consulate in Rio logged in in their system your case so that Matthew can send in packet 3 earlier by saving some time (Operator's post at mid-thread)

Hey max, I read this post yesterday, thankyou... Well, he did talk to a person when he called NVC today, and she told him that our case was forwarded to Rio already, but Matt also said we still have no case #, I told him to call DOS, and ask them what's really going on, I'll know if he did, or not when he gets home -which it should be soon.

But, if the operator at NVC told him that, I guess it's right? The automated system, from what I've seen, fails sometimes.. I'll post the details later!

See, Matt called NVC today and talked to an operator and she said it's coming to Brazil, but the automated message doesn't show anything.. I don't really know for sure because he's at work, we just texted each other and when he gets home I'll give more details and update the timeline... now I'm trying to figure out how to send an email to the consulate using the OUTLOOK... its ###### impossible! When I try to send it using hotmail, won't deliver it! ???

Well folks, I got an RFE today, not real happy about it. I did just about everything to avoid it, but they gave it to me anyway. Well I'll just have to wait and see what the hard copy says, but I can't imagine it'll be an easy one to fix. Oh well onto the next waiting step.

I got touched today too, congratulations its a big bouncing baby RFE.

Ahhh I feel one more relief now.. my police certificates will be valid til October 10th, and I can just print it and go to both police stations here (Federal and the state) to stamp and one more thing will be done!!! I'm also working on the forms, figuring everything out... I can't wait to hear good news from NVC, bring it on both - NVC AND EMBASSY - WE WILL BE READY!!!!! ... next step, with the case# in hands will be medical!!!

By the way, I should start seeking this week to get one of the shots that I'm missing ... haaaate shots! haaate needles!

sam left this morning he's almost back in US by now, guess in few hours he'll be home. it was horribleeeeee, i think i cried like a baby for hours before he left. now all we can is hope for noa2 and we get our 100 days this week. i hope to god we get approved next week cause this hurts more than anything. processing times show early march but it looks more like they are processing late march to me.

NOA2 will heal all the scars, Dee! I can't wait to hear good news from you guys, it's coming soon! I'm here praying and wishing good luck to you, hang in there sweetie! It's very hard to say bye, for its not forever... its just for a short time!

Congrats!, I am new to the fourm I have been following it for a while but had trouble getting in. I was finally able to but still some issues. Anyway I am hoping I will get an NOA2 (and not a RFE) by the end of the month (x fINgeRS!) ... it's a really tough thing to wait..but it will be well worth it I know!

That's what I thought also, but I did get updated on their website, I first saw it there, then I guess 5 mins. later Matt got the text, I always thought looking at the website was pointless, that they wouldn't update it at all, as I've seen others complaining, but it worked for us.. The only thing I know is.. it's all crazy! lol
