However hard it may sound, let go and move on with your life. It seems you've wasted 14 years with this person and there is always the possibility he has been less than honest with you during this time. Take charge of your life, sever communications and be happy with someone who will love you unconditionally.

No, I didn't, unless you had to choose to be straight, which would mean you were born gay or bisexual.
So when did you choose to be straight? Don't dodge the question, give us the gory details. When was that big gay crush that made you go 'it's going to be hard, but I have to CHOOSE to be straight?'

Illogical rubbish. There is no connection between homosexual marriage and plural marriage. The only reason it gets brought up by the right wing anti gay crowd is to muddy the waters and obsfucate the issues with irrelevances.
    Stop peddling this nonsense.

A person has the right to say what they like, but that does not protect them from the consequences of those actions.

Technically, I have the RIGHT to scream "FIRE!" in the middle of Age of Ultron, when I go see it. I have the RIGHT to do that. But there are consequences for causing mass panic or inciting a riot and if I scream fire in a crowded movie theatre, I can expect to be charged for THOSE things.

Likewise, yes, a person has the RIGHT to post an ad such as this. Just like the 40 foot tall billboard I saw, while driving through Alabama last summer that said 'ANTI-RACIST IS A CODEWORD FOR ANTI-WHITE!' Someone had the RIGHT to post that. I also had the RIGHT to look at my wife and go 'Holy pooslinging vampire bats, batman. We are NOT stopping in this state for ANYTHING!' and to take my money to another whole state. If people post an ad such as this, they can expect some people to back them up en masse and others to be angry and call for a boycott.

That's the joy of free speech, it invites debate and others' opinions.

    1) Then why are the majority of people in jobs making a living wage or better white? Especially white men...
    2) My wife is white. She was accepted into MULTIPLE grad schools, in her field, and went with the one where she got a full scholarship. Her lab, one of several at her school in her program, is the most diverse and out of six or seven people, three are still white men, plus their PI. Most other labs in her program are all white men. Walk into a grad school sometime.
This is a simple case of the 'too many women are yapping' conundrum. There have been multiple studies that showed that, in a group of men and women, when the number of women in the room is 30% or when women speak 30% of the time, the men will say that there were too many women, that women were 'dominating' the room or conversation--even though they spoke or made up less than 50% of the conversation or room.
White men, I believe, perceive the same thing happening when it comes to minorities. They're used to being the only people in these positions, the only people applying and the only people speaking, so when they see ANY People of Colour in those positions, applying or speaking, they think they're being pushed out of their birthright.

We've been discussing the institutional racism that is still very real in this country many times. Our resident racists are not swayed by the facts. Never have. Never will.

Everyone living in the real world knows all this already, of course. Those RWNJs that haven't got a clue on what's happening in the real world won't get it. Ever. They're so consumed with their RWNJ blog sphere bullshite that they simply can't see a damn thing clearly anymore. You're really wasting your time on them.

If there was any question left as to the problem at hand, count on VJs right wing nutter outrage brigade to clear it up. Only took a few posts to get there and I have a feeling there will be plenty more of the kind.

Just be patient! At least you are luckier than most of the people over here. I have been waiting for three years just to be with my husband and i saw some people that have been waiting for more than 10 years just to be with their partners too. You are so lucky that you can see your partner almost everyday. For me, i have to wait for at least 6months before i can meet my husband and spend thousand of dollars for our airfare, hotel, etc.

Yes waiting is always hard, but you are lucky that you can see each other regularly. Imagine those that are thousands of miles apart and cannot. A suggestion to help pass the time would be to research further steps in your visa process. For example, read about embassy reviews, what documents are needed for your visa interview, etc. And also researching ahead to when you have to file for AOS.

It stands to reason really - kids are only just learning to socialise. If you beat them, they start to think that's a reasonable way to behave.

Corporal punishment is stupid. Plain and simple. It's an expression of weakness - nothing else. And it sends a terrible message to a child - that violence is an acceptable tool to resolve conflicts. It isn't. This from the parent of one of the best behaved children in her school - a child that has never, ever had a hand laid on her. Not so much as a slap on the wrist. And yes, she knows what respect means and where and when it is due. It simply doesn't take physical force to teach a child some basic lessons.

No, it is 90 days to marry once you enter the US not upon receiving the visa, so it would technically still work. You can also slow up the process in other ways if it going too quickly.

Amen. This issue will remain until such time when they secure the border and make it water tight. The bigger issue is that nobody really knows how to get that done. In the meantime, we should also seek to enforce penalties on those who hire those without authorization. We can say 'they' all we want but We The People are also responsible for not enforcing the same laws we complain about when someone else breaks them.
