I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but I've seen conflicting guidance online! I was born in South Africa, where I lived until I left for the United Kingdom when I was 6 years old, and acquired British Citizenship a few years thereafter. I have resided in the United Kingdom ever since. I presume I've retained South African citizenship, and would be dual-national, though I only hold a current British passport. I haven't been back to South Africa since I left. I've now had my I-130 approved and it's moved to the NVC, where I'll need to upload the civic documents. I'll of course need a UK Police Clearance Certificate, but do I also need one for South Africa? South Africa would be considerably more difficult as their police website which you need to apply through doesn't appear to have been working recently. If anyone knows definitively, how additional nationalities, while under 16 are treated, are treated it would be hugely appreciated!

Hello all I m freaking out a bit we filed for my parents to move here permanently after I became a US citizen. I had my last name changed legally after becoming a US citizen because I thought it would be easier. The legal name change happened a few months ago (around 3-5 months). Today the i130 petitions were approved for both parents and when we logged in we realized we did not update the last name we completely forgot and it is totally my fault. Any ideas on what I should do now ? I feel like a total idiot.

Hi VisaJourney community, it's been a while! I am getting ready to file my N400 under the 3 year rule and have a few questions about it. - For proof of living with my wife, what is the best document to submit?
- We have a mortgage together, so would a recent mortgage statement suffice, or do I need to provide the deed?
- I received a speeding ticket, that was later dismissed. Now I've read that I need to declare this on the application and provide proof its been dismissed.
- I assume the mailed decision, form TR-215 is sufficient as proof?
- Is there a good flash card set for the new 2025 civics questions?
- On Amazon I can only find the previous 2008 questions and I read that mobile apps are deceiving as they are multiple-choice and the actual test is not.
- Is there any need to study for the English exam if I am fully fluent?
- Does my wife attend the interview with me?
- If so, is there anything she needs to prepare for?
- Are there any further fees after the interview that I need to bear in mind, i.e. passport issuance or anything like that?
Thank you in advance!

Between my divorce and custody case, job, and taking care of toddler part time, my memory has taken a big hit. I submitted my N-400 (5 year General prov) but forgot to include information on a short term part time role I took on as a resume reviewer last year for the month of January 2025. The 2025 W2 for that role didn't arrive till this morning, which made me realize that I forgot to mention it on my N-400. My case is fairly simple and has no complications. I arrived legally here and got my green card through marriage. I waited until my 5 years as a permanent resident were done before filing. So I'm wondering, should I bother to disclose that mistake until the date of my interview (hasn't been scheduled yet) or should I call/email USCIS and ask them to amend this?

Hey Everyone, Wondered what the turnaround for people who had to mail the Civil Documents to DOC Visa is. Feels like mine is taking an absolute lifetime is all. It has been 5 weeks since UPS delivered them so I was expecting to be DQ'd by now honestly. All I needed to send was Passport, Birthday Certificate and Police Check. Anyone else had a long turnaround for DQ'd with the NVC? Thanks in advance
