US Immigration from United Kingdom

Hi everyone,

We are currently working on the AOS package and I have a query regarding the income required on I-864. My wife is the US citizen and her only income is from a Widows Pension which amounts to approx $14000 per year. We have a joint sponsor available, however, I purchased the house we are living in about 8 years ago and its worth probably at least $100000, the house is paid, there is no mortgage or loans involved. My query is, would I be able to use this on the I-864 and if so, would it be enough for us not require a joint sponsor?

Just wanted to write about my POE experience because I haven t read much about it here.

Hope this is the right spot for this question.

I entered the US two days ago on a CR1 visa. At my interview, the CO said that if I want my green card to be produced in my married name I could do it at the POE. At POE the officer said it would be issued in my maiden name as in the visa in my passport. I didn t want to complicate things so left it as is.

How can I go about changing my name to my married name? Do I wait for GC to arrive then file a form to apply for a new one with my married name?

Hi All,

wondering if anyone has any experience with adding circumstances to an NVC expedite request? We requested our expedite with the London Embassy on July 21st, received confirmation that it was being reviewed on August 5th, and haven't heard anything since. (For reference we were DQ'd June 16th) I know most people get a response in around two weeks?

Since we submitted the request, we have had additional circumstances arise that we would like to be considered and have drafted an additional request letter. What is the best way to submit this? Should we reply to the email we got saying our case was being reviewed, or just send a fresh email? Do we have to wait for a denial (should one come through?) or can we send it now?

Hello Everyone,

London interviews for K1 visas. Are they happening at the moment or not? I am so confused. I noticed that someone on here had a K1 interview in August and was granted their visa. I saw a video from a immigration lawyer in San Diego saying that Embassies will soon start these interviews. Then I hear tales of woe. What do you all know? Is it more sorrow or is it go man go?
