My husband came on a K1

we have our ROC interview coming up

what do I need to bring?

My hubby (UK Citizen) and me (US citizen) are in the process of filing our taxes jointly. I brought him over here in Feb 2020 on a K1 visa. We got married and filed AOS in March of that year. He has his SSN, and his EAD/AP, but not his green card yet. He hasn't even been scheduled for an interview. My question is, do I need to declare his status on our taxes? I don't want to omit anything.

I'm filing on turbotax and don't see anywhere to make such a declaration. So if I need to, how would I go about it?

I am currently waiting on my K1 ive posted recently about this and it just a depressing topic.

All I want right now is to apply for my 6 week old daughter s USA Passport. I m the British mother and Dad is the American citizen.

This way I can go out and spend under 90 days out there on maternity and limit the time our family is separated by the bizarre decision to suspend K1 visa interviews.

I m still hopeful to expedite but I really just want her to meet her family state side.

However the London embassy aren t providing interview slots for CRBA and when I called i was told point blank by an operator they re not currently doing them as there s a pandemic, which made me irritated because I was key worker through it all whilst pregnant and separated from my fianc .

They told me to email but I am yet to locate an email.

However I have noticed on the Edinburgh embassy site they provide an email and allocate a time within 10 working days.

I live in London so I m therefore allocated to the London consulate.

Does anyone know an email I could book an appointment or could I possibly register her birth in Edinburgh since it s the U.K. I know that s probably a long shot

Also dad would fly back to register her birth (more costs )

He was here for 5 weeks and it was difficult to even get her British birth certificate.

I filed my AOS back in 2019 and the status has been As of October 2019 Case is ready to be scheduled for interview ever since. However I just changed address (same state, same office dealing with the application). When I changed the address the status changed to As of February 2021 Case is ready to be scheduled for interview.

Is that normal? Should I read anything in to the fact that the dates changed even though it was just a change of address?
