Hello.

I landed on this thread looking for the information I need about Drivers license permit. So in my case, I'm on a K-1 visa and passed my Drivers license in Palm Springs, California. I got my temporary drivers license from the DMV office and today when I called them to check about my status of the original card- They replied my legal presence verification is still pending and I need to send them the latest I-94 to prove my legal presence. Since I am on a K1 visa my I-94 already expired in September (90 Days)

So is there anyway to get a renewed I-94 form or other way to show my legal presence in the country ?

Has anyone encountered the same situation and found a solution ?

NVC Immigrant Visa Backlog in UAE

Dear All

Recently NVC announced that they have a backlog of 491,405 (Number of eligible IV applicants still pending the scheduling of an interview)

Can we all share our data as I have noticed many timelines are not updated.

If we get number of people DQed and waiting for an interview to be scheduled, then based on monthly CR1/R1 issuance rate in UAE we can have an idea when the backlog will be cleared

I personally got DQed for CR1 Visa June 1st 2021

How can I change the address as my wife(beneficiary) has recently moved? I tried searching USCIS website but I only came up with forms to change my address(Petitioner).

Secondly, I haven't received her NOA1. I can only see her case online. I reached out to USCIS twice and nothing yet.

I'm thinking about just typing up a letter and sending it in. Her case is in Nebraska center. Can anyone please help.

Hi there,

I am a Canadian citizen living in Dubai, UAE and I am required to furnish a Canadian Police Clearance Certificate for my CR-1.

I have been told by my local RCMP office in BC that I can obtain the fingerprints at my local police station in Dubai. I visited them today however, they are requesting some official document where they can ink my fingerprints on; it cannot just be a random piece of paper.
I am unable to find reliable information online, and the BC RCMP office does not have a clue either. I also tried reaching out to both the Canadian Consulate in Dubai and the Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, with no luck.

This website states:

"From outside Canada

To submit fingerprints to the RCMP's Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services (CCRTIS) from outside of Canada, you must first contact the local police of jurisdiction where you are staying outside Canada and who can provide you with a copy of your fingerprints. Ensure you get the name and address of the police agency as well as the signature and name of the official taking the fingerprints. Also ensure all ten fingers are taken with black ink.

Next, you must contact an accredited company within Canada who can convert the paper fingerprint forms taken outside of Canada and submit them to CCRTIS electronically."
