If Jenny evacuates, what is the most appropriate address for the document?

Can I use my address in the USA for the affidavit of support?

Once she has refugee status, I assume addresses will be very fluid.

Timeline for F2a after USCIS approval

What is the typical timeline for F2a after USCIS approval? The child was approved at 20 yr 5 mon in Mar 2022, I am not sure but it seems like the F2a processing is current.

The petition is now at NVC. The "ceac" website allows me to pay for DS-260 only, not for Affidavit.

It shows this message:

Due to the numerical limitations on immigrant visa issuance prescribed by law, this petition is not eligible for further processing at this time. The National Visa Center (NVC) will retain the petition until an immigrant visa becomes available. The NVC will notify the petitioner, principal applicant, or attorney of record when this petition is eligible for further processing. The principal applicant should not make any firm plans such as disposing of property, giving up jobs, or making travel arrangements at this time.

What does this mean? How do I proceed? How do I make sure she does not age out?

This is the last document we need to complete NVC requirements. Is there any way to move forward without it?

Humanitarian Expedite

In January the tensions of a possible invasion on Ukraine began to get a little more tense. I was in Kharkiv with my fiancee from December 29th 2021 through January 14th 2022. When I got back to the states I decided to contact my Senator on assistance expediting the NOA2 and entire visa process. As usual, they received the normal government response of "we will not expedite it, everything is normal in Ukraine". Well how about now?? My fiancee has been hiding in Kharkiv for 8 days with heavy air raids and attacks on residential areas. Finally she decided to try and get out and finally was able to get into Poland, from there I do not know where she will go. Now tell me that what is happening in Ukraine doesn't qualify for a Humanitarian Expedite!!!!? She has no home and no job anymore. I have contacted the Senators office again and they totally agree with me. Let's see if the government can pull their head out of the place where the sun don't shine. I am sure I am not the only one in this position that has a fiancee in Ukraine or displaced from Ukraine, and I feel your pain and concern because I am going through it myself. I asked about refugee asylum, but oh no the government will not lift the visa requirements and I was told that this process could take longer than the I129f K-1 visa process. I guess flying her into Mexico City and come up through the southern border would be another option because that is legal in the eyes of the current administration. I have done some other research that Canada is lifting visa requirements for IDPs, which would be totally fine for me. I only live an hour and a half from the Canadian border, so I can handle a little drive to see see my lady. I would like to hear any suggestions or insight of how I can fast trac her to the USA. Thank you Friends

Letter to your Senator/Congresman for Humanitarian Aid

Hi,

This post is not immigration related, but I am at wit's end on where to go. I am not a political activist and I do not participate in any such groups or forums.

My wife just heard back from her sister in Mariupol. They are sheltering in their basement but there has been no electricity, heat or water for two days. Can anyone here help by sending a letter to their congressman and/or senator to request humanitarian aid be sent to Mariupol and Kharkiv? Our friends in Kharkiv have not complained but I am sure they would need medical supplies at the very least.

I have already sent this letter, and you are free to copy it:

RE: Urgent Humanitarian Assistance

I understand these are critical times, and that your office must be dealing with many difficult decisions and issues.

I am making an urgent plea for humanitarian assistance.

My wife's sister and two nephews are currently trapped in Mariupol. They are sheltering in their backyard basement/storage bunker. There is no electricity, heat or running water. There are no supplies, no food and no drinking water. I am sure many others are in the same situation.

Can an appeal be made to send in humanitarian supplies to the two heavily besieged cities of Mariupol and Kharkiv? Perhaps what is seen by Russia as a neutral party, like India or China, could make the deliveries? Or perhaps a universally known organization like the Red Cross could get it done?

Please, the people there are in desperate need.
