My wife finally has an interview in poland for her daughter but it seems to be asking for a ds-160 which is not for immigrant visa. What is going on?

On the travel.state.gov site for WRW-Warsaw when I click on "Register" it takes me to ustraveldocs.com where i am to choose a "Visa Category".

When I do that for "Immigrant Visa" it opens a popup "Important Notices" which says;

"New Requirement for Visa Interviews: Starting May 1, 2025, all visa applicants must bring a DS-160 visa application form with a confirmation/barcode number (starting with AA) that matches the one used to make their appointment online.

I thought the DS-160 was only for K1 and temporary visa'a?

I-130 Sponsoring Parents to come to the US [US Citizen]

Hi Community!

How is everybody ?

I am a US Citizen since very recently, and I am thinking to apply for I-130 for my mom and dad, so that they are able to come visit me in the US.

I was hoping maybe some experienced folks here can help me clarify few questions, and maybe point me in the right direction on this forum to read up useful info!

1. I see that processing time on USCIS website is ~52 months (based on NBC processing location). Are all I-130's processed at NBC or not ? If no, where are they processed ? I was under the impression that I-130 processing is more like ~12-18 months.

2. I see that there are 2 options on how I130 can be submitted: the beneficiary requests adjustment of status inside the United States or consular processing outside the United States. Am I understanding this correctly - so basically we either ask to adjust status to PR after entry to the US, or before at the US Embassy overseas ? What are the pros and cons of each option ? Is one option faster or easier than the other ?

3. Another question - does I-130 form ask for passport number & passport info of the beneficiary ? Asking because both of my parents passports are set to expire in 2027, and there is a possibility that passports will expire before I-130 is approved. So, by the time of approval and entry to the US they will both have new passports with new numbers. Is that an issue ? Should we get them new passports now in order to prevent expiration while I130 is processing ?

4. Regarding financial support - it will be enough to attach my tax returns to show how much money I am making per year, correct ? Any minimum required to sponsor each person ?

Thank you in advance for your help!

My wife who became a U.S. citizen has been trying to get her daughter here since 2016. Daughter finally has an interview next month. My wife is panicking because when we started this I had a U.S. passport that I let expire last year. She seems to think that will affect daughters interview. My wife still has a valid passport.

So did I screw up by letting it expire.

Passport Stamps for proof

Hello all,

A little background is that I have travelled extensively. 1 million miles was a starter. I have a passport full of stamps. Border petrol agents in most countries are pretty random with the stamps.

What I want to know is how should I put the passport stamps in the package? There are 8 stamps on some pages and 3 on others and I need stamps from multiple pages to show a trip. In a scan and print they suck to say the least. To be honest it is hard to make out where they are from or the date looking at the original. Should I scan and print the page with 16 stamps of which I only need 2 and leave it to them to figure out? Or should I print them on a page and add arrows to the page pointing to the stamps in question? What did others do?

Trying to put my best foot forward on the I-129F package.

Brian

Evidence of meeting and ongoing relationship

Hello,

I am the US citizen. My fiance is from Ukraine.

I will be filing the I129f in a little over a month because she decided to go ahead and come now.

We have a large age gap, I have been divorced 2 times, I have a DUI to document in 2019.

We have had a relationship for a long time and my question is should I document more than the one trip. I have details for 5 or so trips and want to be able to overcome the red flags already mentioned. I would think showing that we have been together many times and will 3 or 4 more times this year would help with the red flags.

Any advice would be useful.

Brian
