Hi,

I am in the part of submitting the document portion. They asked for my w2 or 1099 form but I have been working abroad in Taiwan so there's no way I have those forms. I'm wondering what I can do to pass this section. I am feeling helpless and don't know what I should do since i've been in taiwan and have been working here for the past 3 years.

My joint sponsor has her w2 so I will be able to submit that

I'm wondering if its better if my Taiwanese husband and I just go to america and restart the greencard process there. I just feel like we have been waiting for so long and can't seem to get out of this document portion that is needed.

Medicare for Immigrants

For lack of a better place, I am placing this topic in the General Immigration Forum: The subject is Medicare for Legal Residents

Although the audience might be limited, I think this might be helpful to some others...at some point later. I am 69 years old. I receive Social Security Retirement Benefits, and I (as almost all retirees), receive Premium-Free Medicare Part A. My lovely wife, who looks 25, will turn 65 years old in August. As a result, it is time to set up her Medicare coverage (it's actually required to keep her Tricare coverage). My research indicates that my wife will also qualify for Premium-Free Medicare Part A based on the following:

1. She will be 65 years old soon (Medicare enrollment is open 3 months before until 3 months after her 65th birthday month).

2. We have been married for 1 year or longer

3. I, her spouse, am older than 62, and I already receive Social Security and Premium-Free Medicare Part A.

4. She has been a legal resident for 5 years (next month).

She, like me and most other retirees, will have to pay for Medicare Part B.

This is pretty important (and a big, big relief to me) since people who do not qualify for Premium-Free Medicare can pay as much as $499.00 a month for Medicare Part A and an additional $170.00 a month for Medicare Part B.

just would like to ask if anyone know that after FEB 2022, if the EAD application approved, is there also a chance to receive a Combo card together with AP approval?

or it would just be the EAD card itself?

thank you for answering. thank you

So we were all excited that our immigrant visa interview date (in Taipei, Taiwan) had finally arrived on March 7, 2022. But my wife's case was denied under Section 221(g) because some documents we provided were not acceptable. Since we had lived in China for over one year (2010-2012), we were required to provide of police report for that period. At that time we did get a police report (which was no easy task for a Taiwanese citizen) at that time. However, when it was submitted at the interview, it was not accepted on the grounds that it had not been notarized. We have been told it is nearly impossible for Taiwanese to get this done in China, due to travel restrictions and strained relations. Anyone have experience with this? What can we do?

5 years ago was 2/2017

I lived at an address from 2011-2018.

For the start date, do I put 2011 or 2017?

And if I mark 2017 as the start date, what day? The day that I click submit to make it exactly 5 years?
