I m finally scheduled for my combo interview in 4 weeks. Had to reschedule to appointment I had in December and recently got a new appointment. I only received an email in December saying that it will be a combined interview but it didn t mention what I should take with me. This is the only information that I got in the N-400 letter regarding my appointment: This letter. Your Alien Registration Card ("green card"). Your passport and/or any other documents you used in connection with any entries into the United States. If applying for NATURALIZATION AS THE SPOUSE of a United States Citizen; Your marriage certificate. My interview will be in Dallas, TX. If anyone knows how long after approval I will do the oath ceremony that will be appreciated since I m trying to plan for an upcoming trip.

Hi all! Quick question, I will send in my application to remove conditions when my 90-day window opens in late March, will I receive anything from USCIS before I file i.e. a letter/notice? I had to change my address last year as we moved and for some reason USCIS does not like confirming my address when I ask, so just curious if I should be expecting something (or not, if my address never changed properly.) Thanks!

Hello All, my family started our journey 6 years ago and we are almost crossing the finish line (we might already have depending on the answers I might receive :)). We went through all the steps and both my wife and step child are now US citizens. We decided to also go through the stepparent adoption here in Florida and that was completed as well and now I am the boys legal parent. After the completion of the adoption I read that a US birth certificate could be issued for the child, but then read that this was for non US citizen children in the state of Florida (which is not our situation). I contacted the vital statistic bureau of Florida and they recommended me to contact the Department of State in Washington DC. Now before I go down this path I would really appreciate any help in this matter. Specifically if someone else have done this and if this applies to our case. If it is possible, then what forms do I need to submit and where to send them. I am ok if the answer is that we have to keep his foreign birth certificate, but it would be much easier if we could get him a US one. The child is now 9 years, has Thai birth certificate, and is US citizen. Thank you in advance. Jonny

Hi guys, I'm in LA and petitioned for my sister 7 ago who lives in Sweden (she's 44, unmarried and has 2 children below 13 years old). My parents have greencards and have 4 years to go before they get their citizenship. QUESTION 1: I was told it MIGHT be possible to bring her faster if my parents do a petition for her as well. Does anyone know if that is true? I seriously do not understand what the heck is said in this page: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html QUESTION 2: My dad is 80 my mom 72 they don't feel they would even be alive 10 more years. What happens to an application if the person who did the petition passes away? Obviously I can't take over am I right? QUESTION 3: Since my parents combined don't qualify for the minimum requirement income, can I my self add as dependent ? It states: "You may count the income and assets of members of your household who are related to you by birth, marriage, or adoption." in https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/affidavit-of-support I read online but can't figure out how much I need to have as final tax return amount I mean let's say my parents income are both $0 is it possible to calculate how much I need to make in order to be dependent on my parents petition for my sister? If you don't know answer to both I appreciate any answer at all. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!

Hi, I went to the Interview on Dec 13th in Stockholm. They asked me to submit the original birth certificate from my birth country and also asked me to send the CV as I am in EB1A category. I sent the CV on Dec 15th and birth certicate on Dec 23rd. They kept our passports. However, it is still in Admin processing. Any idea, how long should I wait for the visa ?
