From the CDC website: Categories of noncitizen nonimmigrants that meet the criteria for an exception under the Proclamation and CDC s Order include: Persons with valid visas [excluding B-1 (business) or B-2 (tourism) visas] who are citizens of a foreign country with limited COVID-19 vaccine availability So, how is it that Russia has not made the list of limited availability despite having NO approved vaccines? It can't be because they have over 10% of Russians vaccinated, because I don't believe that 10% of Russians traveled to get an approved vaccine. In my opinion Fauci is cooking the books.

Hey everyone, I just signed up here on Visajourney yesterday. Place seems like a pretty legit source for info, or atleast the links that source official information, so here I am. With all of the recent happenings, Warsaw becoming the de facto embassy for the "homeless" Russians, does anybody think that this could be grounds for further lawsuits? I have yet to even hire an immigration attorney, but at this stage, things are becoming so complex. I'm sure I will need to get one in the near future. I respect and appreciate the men and women who work these jobs at all these government agencies, and I am not in it to hassle anyone, just, I personally feel this is getting a little bit ridiculous. Some of you have been waiting years and there is still no end in sight. (I am stuck at NVC, NOA2 was the last thing I received, plus a few emails from NVC telling me that covid is causing delays, yada yada, do not take further action at this time.) It's not something I want to do, but I want to live without my fiancee for another year, even less.

So here is my situation: I am a US citizen with a foreign spouse who entered the country on August 28. We got Married on October the 7th and submitted our marriage license to the probate court the following Tuesday (we went to Florida for a quick getaway). The probate court is telling me that it will take up to 45 days (from date of filing) for our marriage certificate to process. Naturally, I am a bit worried since it is cutting it slim and we want to avoid overstay. So is there anything I can do to avoid this. Maybe contact the USCIS? If we submit the I-485 packet after the date stamped in her passport, will it create issues down the road (yes I know that we should avoid contact with LE between the time her visa expires and our first NOA receipt)? By issues I mean: the timeline of the AOS, increased scrutiny at the interview, eligibility for an AP Travel Document, problems for her re-entering the country on her AP Travel document (we plan on going overseas this summer for family matters, but realistically we know that we will be lucky if we have our interview within a year of filing the I-485). Also, do we have an option of filing I-485 without the marriage certificate, then send it over to USCIS when we get it back from the court? Honestly, if I knew that it would take this long to process a marriage certificate, we would have gone straight from the airport to the probate court in order to get married lol BTW, anybody who happens to read this and hast entered the US yet - be warned. Some of these probate courts take long to process marriage certificates. Thank you in advance!

Quote MOSCOW, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Russia on Sunday condemned a decision by the United States to add Russians seeking U.S. visas to a list of "homeless nationals" who can apply for visas in third countries. The move allowed Russians to apply for U.S. visas in Warsaw instead of their home country after the American Embassy stopped processing most visa applications in May due to Moscow's ban on employing embassy staff in Russia. The U.S. State Department lists as "homeless" applicants from countries in which the United States has no consular representation, or where consular staff cannot issue visas due to the political or security situation. Read more here: https://www.reuters.com/world/us/moscow-decries-us-move-call-russians-homeless-visa-purposes-2021-10-24/ Also a good video on the same topic. Sorry guys, only in Russian. But I thought this video at least shed some more insight on what is actually going on with the new "homeless" nationality designation.

17 minutes ago, HRQX said: OP's parents aren't applying for visas since they already reside in the US. OP's wife is Russian: Tel Aviv doesn't process K-1, CR-1, etc. type visas since only Jerusalem has an IV unit: https://il.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/ My parents are US citizens .but we are trying to get B2 visas for my wife s Russian parents in the Tel Aviv US consulate. I don t need to double check any of this because we already know the routine. my gripe is we already paid for B2 visas (two of them!) in Moscow and only get crickets chirping .no real answers. State department is a bunch of thieves as far as we are concerned, same with hundreds of other Russian families that were screwed out of money they can t even afford Israel just announced it plans to accept Russian visitors in November because of political pressure with Putin. Maybe it s just nice words in the media but we fully expect my in laws will get a B2 visa in tel Aviv this January 2022 and immediately head to UsA for their first trip here to meet grand baby, we have waited two years and I m just sick of these negative people also, Tel Aviv has Russian speaking staff, which is pretty much a rarity. My in laws do not speak English so this is a huge bonus for us
