My fianc is in Russia close to Ukraine border and she is not feeling safe, but most airports are closed, I suggest she bring her kids and dog to mexico and we live there, our k visa was submitted on April 26, I suppose we still need wait for another 5 months before she can get the k visa even everything goes well. I have a question, it s not easy to move the whole family to mexico in such war situations, can we ask NVC to do the interview in mexico? I can only work within America, so I need cross the border every day to work in America side, we lived like this for 4 months in mexico last year

Hello, my fianc e received a packet from Warsaw embassy with instructions for the next steps, i.e. paying visa fees, filling out DS-160, medical exam, etc. She, in February 2020, applied for a tourist visa but was never interviewed due to the COVID and staffing levels in Russia. Should she now create a completely new profile to fill out DS-160 doe K-1 / K-2 since the visa and embassy are different? Also, should she somehow cancel the previous profile or it's okay to leave it be? It looks like we would need to use a different email if we don't cancel the previous profile, right? Also, for DS-160 for her child, would we need yet another profile or could it be one under her profile? Thank you very much for your help. How far into the future an interview could be scheduled? Given current geopolitical situation, the Warsaw embassy might be very busy. I read in other threads that there is an indication that current interviews might be cancelled. Would it be futile to apply for the visa there now? Are there folks with interviews coming up? Thank you. Sorry, I am asking a lot of questions for a situation so new that there might not be any answers.

My wife's interview is scheduled for the end of March in Warsaw. Unfortunately, Poland still has very strong COVID restrictions in place. They are not giving tourist visas to Russian citizens. I imagine we are not the only ones that are confronted with this problem since the Warsaw embassy took over visa processing for the embassy in Moscow last spring. My question: How have other Russian visa applicants entered Poland to attend their interviews?

So, for 5 years my wife and I (she is from Russia) have been traveling the crazy road of Green Card. (with Co-vid and all the other challenges) We are at the final stage of setting up of the n person appointment BUT.... So, when she went to her appointment in NY (near our house where she lives with me) she got her Biometrics done. They said in NY when that was finished, she would have to do the "live" interview in either Buffalo NY or Syracuse NY. BUT.... Got an email where they are scheduling a personal interview in Poland on March 2, 2022, and part of the prep is a medical exam where they send results in a sealed envelope, which says takes 2-3 weeks. Even if she could get to Poland to do that there is NO WAY to have the results for the interview which are required. SO... Many questions: 1. The address in the email for her is our NY address United States of America So why Poland???? 2. Medical exam takes 2-3 weeks for results (how can this be done with the timeline) 3. Have the local congressman helping and waiting to hear from them also. Would love to hear what others think or advise?? Confused in NY Dan

I am trying to figure out road ahead, just in case. My wife is permanent resident (I am citizen). My wife will apply for US c citizenship this December. My mother in law is in Ukraine and was not planning on moving to US at all (I am still not sure if she will anyway, even in the worst case scenario). My question is: if the war break-out in Ukraine and she needs to relocate, is there a path to relocate to our place in US as a refugee? What is the path (checked here could not find guides for asylum). Is asylum path different if my wife and I are in US and willing to sponsor her to come to US in full, including insurance (we are wealthy)? Is asylum process faster/easier if the applicant has immediate relatives in US willing to sponsor the refugee? Thank you.
