My son came here with me on k-1 visa. He is a permanent resident and lived with me here for 7 years (he is 15 now). Half a year ago my dad got sick and my son went there (abroad )to spend this time with my dad. I stayed here, because of the circumstances.

My dad, sadly, passed away and my mom is heartbroken. She asked if he can stay longer to keep her spirits up. Also, my son really likes it there. I allowed.

I just passed my citizenship interview. I'm waiting for the Oath date.

Now question. Is there any way for him to obtain a US passport abroad with our circumstances? With my naturalization certificate? Or somehow else

Or the only option is flying asap and bringing him back for passport purposes? I have a one year old and I can hardly see this trip now. Thank you

My n-400 took 2 weeks from applying to the interview date. Otherwise my plan would work

So, I checked our case status this morning for the family-based I-485 application for AOS. It showed a processing time of 3 months and I was excited because we are on step 3 (interview). An hour later, we got an email and upon reviewing the update I see we have an RFE. Evidently, USCIS says I cannot sponsor my wife because I do not make 125% of the poverty level for our family size. I make about double that (233%). The error likely comes from the fact that my IRS papers say $0 due to my income being non-taxable. I sent income verification letters from the VA and SSA as well as bank statements showing that I make about $70k a year in non-taxable income. Additionally, our attorney sent them a letter with the initial filing saying the same. He told us that we would dispute it but I will most likely need a co-sponsor. I do not have one as I have no family or friends and shouldn't need one simply because someone at USCIS is unable to read or comprehend the reality of the situation. I am beyond angry as this will substantially delay our case and we cannot afford the delay.

Hey guys, I would like to hear from people about the difficulty of getting a shengen visa for Russian citizens. I cannot find reliable information when I search online. My fiance is Russian and lives in Siberia, we have been sent to the consulate in Warsaw, and this looks to be the best option for us currently. She has never traveled anywhere before. We are going to apply for her to try to get the shengen visa to Hungary. Is it likely she can get the visa, and how long do you think it will take? Any opinions or advice is great, I see that other people have done this exact plan recently.
