I don't know what side of the bed this interviewer servant woke up on, but obvoiusly they have something against us.

see attached denial.

She was already "documentarily qualified" with all required tax returns, forms AND we went thru HELL to get a DNA test they required, which is a total money grab and waste of time.. it's NOT our fault they took over 5 months to get the info over to the embassay and schedule an interview! so now due to THEIR incompetence they are reqesting a 2024 Tax Return which is not even due for us until Sept! (we always go on extension) .

On the Denial they also cross out "HOUSEHOLD MEMBER" and check "JOINT SPONSOR" - which as you correctly state above, is totally wrong according to their OWN RULES.. (I am the husband living in the same house) and we already filled out BOTH the i-864 and i-864A Affidavits of Support! Which was required to even get to this point! do we just print it out again? My income and our assets total around $2 million!

If they are checking off Joint Sponsor as a requirement isn't that an error? how can it be corrected?

can anyone give us any advice here? it's really infuriating it's been 2 years of hell.

anything is appreciated. Best, Mike

N400 Submitted - Will Requesting a FOIA Now Delay it?

I know I should have requested a FOIA before submitting my N400 application, but I learned it was a thing too late. My application is still within normal processing times.

Will requesting a FOIA for my full A-file push my N400 application to the back of the line?

CR1 - higher chance of denial if couple only met in-person once?

To keep things as brief as possible:

American and Filipina talk online early 2023

American visits and marries (Utah online) Filipina in PH for 6 days in early 2024

American files CR1 shortly after arriving back home

CR1 case pending USCIS for 11 months (also showing 11 months estimate, but that estimate has been wrong/bounced around multiple times)

American does not currently have plans for a second visit, but certainly will if the case is going to really depend upon it.

I recall reading posts on here about Utah online marriage CR1 cases meeting one time being enough but someone correct me here if wrong.

Do you think it will result in notable suspicion on the interview step (maybe even CFO too?) that this couple only met in person that one time in 2024?

To be clear this thread is not about relationship advice, but specifically the validity of a case.

Everything else in the case on submission at USCIS checks out in terms boarding passes, passport stamps, two receipts (airbnb, mall), 13 decent variety pictures (including a family member on American side, and multiple on Filipina side), and consistent (showing monthly to keep it contained) call logs and message captures and a few emails exchanges since first talking in 2023. I also later included extras like group call screen captures including family members, as well as updated fresh call logs and message captures since.

Thank you all.

My wife just got a 221g from her Interview today, a few questions

Hi all,

Unfortunately my wife got a 221g (see attached) after her IR-1 interview today at the Manila Embassy. Everything was okay until they wanted my 2024 Tax Return. I did not file it yet or include it because I was told on these forums that any interviews prior to April 15 that the most recent tax year required is 2023. I did however, include my W-2's from my employers for 2024 and up to date Paystubs as well.

It appears they want my updated Affidavit of Support and my 2024 Tax return uploaded to CEAC, is that seem correct? Anything special I should know about the 221g process and how to make sure and do it right? Thank you!
