US Immigration from Philippines

Has anybody from the United States on the forum successfully obtained a visa based on the reason that you have a minor child in the Philippines?

My fiance was pregnant with our child and the Consulate here in the USA said they would consider an exception to allow me to travel to the PH on this basis, I sent in a ton of supporting documents, and never heard back from them for over a month, despite constantly leaving messages and emails.

Now my child is born, they are telling me I need to now submit an application based on a minor child living in the PH as my circumstances have changed, so basically start the whole process over.

My problem is my daughter was recently born and one of the requirements is the PSA birth certificate which could take 1-2 months.

Has anyone found themselves in a similar situation to me? I'm finding it really difficult to get any kind of information from the Consulate.

Our AOS is coming up soon. And I am feeling pretty worried about my medical. I redid my i693 and disclosed this medical condition I have (PCOS) and the doctor added a note that it is well managed. And I honestly just dont remember if i disclosed this during my K1.

is this something that I should just bring up at the interview or wait for them to ask.

This is an inquiry for a friend.

Background:

The US Citizen a single parent is living in the Philippines with her minor child. She petitioned her child and its now approved. The petition is now in NVC for Consular Processing. She has started with submitting all required documents. She has no job and her mother ( a US Citizen) and mother's husband is the one issuing the affidavit of support for the minor child as they will be living with them in US. So the place of domicile listed is her mother's US address. Mother and child is both moving to US once petition is approved.

I hope anyone can help in the following;

• If the Petitioner has no job therefore no income, does she need to file an I 864 ?
• Since the mother of the Petitioner and husband is the one who has financial capability, what form should they submit I 864 or I 864 A?

My wife and son arrived in the US on IR1 and IR2 visas in September 2020. They have their greencard and ssn now. Will they both be able to file for citizenship in September 2023?
