Wife arrived on December 4, 2020, we married December 20, 2020. Submitted Adjustment of Status and received NOA on March 22, 2021. When she applied for Social Security Card we provided original Marriage Certificate and all current USCIS documents along with Passport and visa. Local Social Security Office would not issue card with married name. They would issue card only with name that appeared on passport. Thinking they made a mistake I called National Social Security and was told that once my wife had a photo I.D. card issued by Texas DPS she could the name changed. Found out that name changes can not be done via Email so back to local Social Security Office and they told us that they do not do appointments for name changes, after many more calls local office has now said that until my wife receives a Permanent Resident Card they will not allow a name change. Is that right? Given the waiting time for Permanent Resident Card that could mean two years to get a proper Social Security Card.

Hi, Background: My wife's IR1 visa is currently at the NVC. I have already filled out and submitted I864 form online for Affidavit of support (AOS) I am a US citizen but have lived abroad here in the Philippines since 2014 but plan to return back to the US with my wife if she is granted an IR1 visa. I read that I am supposed to provide evidence (located here) of US domicile as part of the AOS package. My question is that upon returning to the US, my wife and I are planning to live with my wife's sister indefinitely. Would I need to provide some type of documentary proof for taking up residence at my sister-in-law's? If so, what kind of documentary proof would be best e.g. a signed letter from my sister-in-law that she is allowing my wife and I to take up residence in her home indefinitely? Thanks!

Hi everyone, I just want to ask if a joint sponsor for AOS has to be a permanent resident in the US for 10 years or not? Your answers will be very helpful. Thank you.

Hello, so my mom missed her flight.. and the airline we booked with is asking for a crazy amount of money to reschedule the flight. Long story short, she is now flying with PAL. She is a senior citizen, and we had no problems with the previous airline to request for assistance, as the layover before was Doha. However, this time the layover is LAX, these are my questions: 1. Does she need to collect her baggage when she arrives in LAX? PAL is partnering with American Airlines, so the flight to PHL it will be AA. We booked it all in one ticket. 2. Will LAX be the airport she will get interviewed by immigrations? Thank you so much in advance.
