Hi everyone, I m hoping someone who has gone through the process can help clarify a few things for me and my fiance (K-1 visa, Embassy Manila). -
How can we find out whether an interview date has already been assigned for our case, or when we might expect one? -
We ve been checking constantly for OFC (biometrics) appointments, but there haven t been any available slots. Does anyone know when new OFC appointment slots are usually released? -
What happens if an interview date gets scheduled, but we still can t book an OFC appointment because there are no openings? What should we do in that situation? Any advice or recent experience would really help ,thank you!

Hi Folks, I'm not sure if this belongs in this forum or the LPR forum...my wife came over to the US in May of 2023 on a K1 VISA. We married in June of 2023 & she received her green card in January of 2024. She has two sons...one (currently 6 years old) who came with her as a K2 & also got his green card at the same time. The other son (currently 13 years old) decided to remain behind with his father & his family. We just submitted their i-751 RoC form last month. Within the last week, her 13 year old son who is in the Philippines suddenly wants to come over to the US. What I am trying to find out here is what are our options at this point in time? Do I need to petition for him? Can she petition for him as an LPR? Will her current RoC status allow her to do so? Are the current time lines (USCIS shows roughly 60 months for i-130 processing) still up to date? I am hoping to gain some guidance & wisdom from those of you who have already walked this path or for those of you who are currently walking this path. Thanks! Kawika

Hi. Does my wife need a renewed Thai Police clearance for the interview or CFO? She got her's back in May 2025. And she hasn't been back to Thailand for work for many years now. Another concern: if she renews her clearance, will she still use the previous passport number and her previous name? She was still single when she was in Thailand. She has a new passport now with her married name. And her previous passport was deactivated.
