I was attempting to post this in the Philippines column but I couldn t figure out how to do that so I will do it here. My fianc e is in the Philippines and we are working on the k1 process. 2 questions and I ask this here because I m not sure if my lawyer is correct. The secretary just sent me an email stating that my fianc e did not need to do the medical unless the Manila consulate officer deemed it necessary and she would have to do the medical once she applied for adjustment of status here in the states. Is this the actual case? I m concerned about where my lawyers secretary is getting this information. Also I am confused about the affidavit of support. Once again my lawyers secretary is stating that I don t do the affidavit of support until the adjustment of status. But there is the form i134 that needs to be done for the Manila consulate interview. I m hoping someone can tell me what the actual case is. She is now saying that my fianc e and I can go ahead and schedule the k1 visa interview and as I mentioned earlier, don t have to do the medical exam unless the consulate officer deems it necessary. I hope someone can tell me what I really need to do.

Little victories is all you can shoot for. After my estimated processing time was pushed further away (little by little) by 4 months, it finally moved closer by one day. I know it's just an estimate, but I will take what I can get The waiting continues.

Hello guys I just want to say thank you to all who gave me information and advice. I just had my interview the other day and I was approved on the spot. I was filling jointly at first but unfortunately our marriage went down hill and we end up filling a divorce. So, I switch my joint application to a divorce waiver. IO was really good and didn t really asked me a lot of question. Again, thank you to all the people who gave me advices.
