So I have read through all of these different things you need to do like the 10 day waiting period, planting a tree, counseling, getting a document from the embassy stating I am not married and my fiance getting something similar. My Fiance's sister knows someone that works at one of the city halls in Manila and is telling me that I just need to pick a date and time along with both of our info, pay a fee, and then show up with our ID's to be married by a judge there in Manila. No 10 day waiting period, no tree, no counseling, no other documents... Is this legit? Is there a difference in marrying someone in the city versus the province? We were also looking at doing the Utah online marriage while I was there. Is is better to get married in the Philippines or do the Utah thing? If this marriage with the judge is legit would it just be better to do it there or should I plan on the Utah online marriage. I am headed there in September so I have time. Thanks in advance for any help.

Wow, this snuck up on us. Time flies when you are having fun. I've just filled out her I-751. For evidence, I've included a bunch of stuff, with some caveats ... do you all think this is sufficient? - Multiple complete bank statements for the last 12-18 months. (Still in her maiden name)
- Tax returns 2020 - 2021 (Sadly, in error, they are in her maiden name)
- Mortgage refinance document (Wife is on it, but they only list me on the header, there is a signature line for her on the last page)
- Marriage license
- Tons of photos of us in various parts of the country (Labeled). Including interactions with my kids and family.
- Several of her pay stubs from the past year
- We leased a townhouse for a hear before moving back to the home we own (Lease included)
- Her permanent residency card
- Her social security card
- Wedding photos
The other issue is that her bank records are in her maiden name. We never got a chance to change it because during the pandemic it took an act of God to get an appt at the bank, and now this snuck up on us. Our tax returns are in her maiden name. Her residency card and social security card are in her name. We never got her a state ID card (she doesn't drive), but are going to try to do that on Monday or Tuesday so she has something with her address on it. Other than our bank accounts, the utility bills are all solely in my name. (I never considered opening the utility bills in both names, no advantage ... except for this) What else do I need or should I be good here? Thanks !!!

Hello everyone! Our case story summary: Husband and I got married on January 2019 and then we sent our AOS first application a few months after that but got denied due to hubby's loss of job and couldn't provide documents they needed to continue the process. So, we re-applied again same year but this time we have cosponsor so then we got interviewed and approved after waiting forever on August 2021 (2020 was just a rough year because of COVID). I received my green card and I noticed on my GC I only have 1 year left before it expires but I supposed to have 2 years right? After the approval. (I was hoping to get 10 years green card lol because of us being married for more than 2 years (I know its not guaranteed, case to case basis I guess) before approval but only got 1 year left before it expires). Basically, on my green card says I was a resident since August 2020 but I never got approved that year. So, our current status now is they sent me a notice letter saying to apply for ROC, also says I got approved on the year 2020 but that's not true. We didn't bother to call USCIS. But my question is, if you were in my case what do you think you could've done? Thanks for reading!
