I will have the results of my cultures AGAIN from my second exam on September 20th. Assuming it is again negative, and we immediately mail mine and the children's passports into the embassy with them receiving them Monday morning, how long should it be before we receive them back with the visas? (Our interviews are complete and approved) Thanks.

Hey all, I've posted about this a little bit before, but now my wife's interview is coming up on 09/23, and she's making herself absolutely sick worrying about this. I'm hoping someone who had a similar experience can share a brief comment about their interview. My wife had an overstay in Jordan in 2018, was detained at a checkpoint, jailed, and given the option of renewing her residence card or going back to the Philippines. She returned to the Philippines. No court. No conviction. Jordan does not issue PCCs, but they do issue NCRCs (No Criminal Record Certificate), which my wife does have. She's so worried about the likely question, "Have you ever been arrested?" She marked yes on the DS-260 and explained. But she's freaking out that they are going to deny her visa or want police reports (which we were unable to obtain). USCIS policy does indicate persons applying for a visa from outside the U.S. are not required to submit reports or other documents for any arrest that did not lead to a conviction. And I know other people have had overstays and obtained their visas with no issues. Can anyone who has had a similar experience that included being detained share their interview experience? Maybe if I can share that with my wife she will stop making herself sick with worry. TIA

Hi, I cannot not figure out what tax transcript they are asking for. This is the information they give; Please upload and submit Dan's most recent Wage and Income IRS tax transcript from 2023. A transcript can be obtained on the IRS's website: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript. If you were not required to file a tax return, please write, and scan an explanation for not filing. If you filed taxes with your spouse, please also submit all of your W-2s and or 1099s. For more information, please visit https://nvc.state.gov/fin. I have gone to the website and uploaded both available transcripts for year 22 and 23, sent in all of my 1099s for both years which were accepted. Both of my Federal Income Tax Return or Transcript has been rejected. I submitted these transcripts on Aug 21, they show they have been uploaded, I just resent my 2023 and 2022 return and account transcripts again, they have been uploaded alng with the same transcripts i sent on the 21st. I even filled out Form 8879 for both years and uploaded it. I hope someone can give me guidance on what I need to send in. Thank you again for your help. Dan and Juliana

I just got engaged on the 13th of august to my girlfriend in the Phillipines and i am feeling overwhelmed by what i am reading about the immigration process and i have so many questions. I found this website and i feel somewhat relived that some people may be able to help me. I haven't filed yet the I-29f but i plan to when i get back home but i have questions. Do i need to send my Fiancees birth certificate off with i-29f? Also she plans on getting a passport after i leave will she need to send that to me or just a photo copy of her passport? All our photo evidence was taken by smartphone how should I compile this. One of my boarding passes is faded but i do have a photo of it i took just in case something like that happened. can i use that? One of my boarding passes is digital can that be used as evidence since everything is moving toward digital nowadays? I am also trying to figure out how we should write our letters of intent. I wanted to write those before i left in a few days but i read i have to include the address of the USCIS office I send it too and I dont know which office our letters should be or will be sent too. Any advice i know this is alot of questions i just feel overwhelmed and honestly i have many more questions. I am scared of making any mistakes in the process. Also my fiancee doesnt have easy access to a scanner so that makes things more difficult any help is appreciated.
