Will it look bad if I don't go with Dina to biometrics |

Aloha, Dina has biometrics 9/30 in Honolulu. We're on Maui. I am having nasty back problems. I have a MRI scheduled which will hopefully lead to surgery. Getting around is becoming difficult. Getting to USCIS office and back home will involve navigating two airports (twice) and getting to the office. Dina posed the idea of going by herself. She made it from Leyte to Maui on her own, so I have no doubt she can pull this off. My question is will this be a big red mark against us or will the biometrics people even care? I could go but it would be a sizeable challenge. Mahalo, Bill and Dina

Hello. a few things we are very confused about, we are about to file for the AOS and getting together all the supporting documents, and I'm really not clear about some of what is being asked of us. according to some guides and other posts on here, you need your tax transcripts and w2's, which is all well and good. where i get confused is where some suggest that you need "copies of your full tax return" and "all schedules" pardon my ignorance, but by "full tax return" does it mean only the 1040 (which ranges from 2-5 pages depending on the year) or the full 20+ page packet that was returned to me upon completion of my taxes which include such forms as 540, 3514, 8880 and such? I'm also not very familiar with what a "schedule" is in regards to taxes. any information and help is greatly appreciated thank you

Hello all, I recently married my fiancee (now wife) after her arrival in the US with her K1 visa and just sent all the paperwork (I-486, I-765, and I-864) that I should need today. Not too worried as I am 99% sure I filled everything out correctly and sent the evidence and payments that were needed. I wanted to send everything out before the 90 days and was just wondering peoples experiences with next step with this process. I had to send mine to the Phoenix Lockbox so if anyone had to send theirs there would greatly appreciate it. I did send it via USPS priority express (just to make sure it got there) and since its the holiday season I don't expect too much on the beginning of my processing. Just wanted to see people good and bad experiences and time frames for everyone. Thank you to everyone who replies. Matt

My (now) wife and step-daughter arrived in the US and we've since been married but haven't filed any forms. Both my wife and step-daughter want to change their names but I'm confused when and how to do this. From what I'm now reading I think I messed up in that I should've requested SS cards as soon as they arrived and if what I've read is correct my wife should've signed the name she wants on the marriage certificate??? Which confuses me since I thought it was a legal document and she had to use her current legal name???? I haven't filed the i-485 or i-765 or requested SS cards and I'm so confused as to what I should do first to get names changed and get the next steps going. I just don't want to screw anything up, Thanks for help.

Has anyone noticed any difference in the time it takes for an application to be officially "received" between the USPS PO Box addresses and the courier addresses at the lockboxes? We are getting ready to send in our AOS package to the Phoenix lockbox and are wondering if it will make a difference wether we send it to the PO Box via USPS Priority Express or to the physical address via Fed-Ex. Anyone have experience or even an opinion? Any responses would be greatly appreciated!
