US Immigration from Nigeria

Hi all. I submitted my application today. I did not see any July 2021 filers so I created one. Back to Immigration business again after 2 years!

Me and my wife got married in May 2018 and filed I-130 June 2018 , I was admitted into the state on March 2021 , I received my SSN 2 weeks after I made it into the state , So what I don t understand is that I received my greencard last week and it says CR1 but we been married for 3years and 2 months , please what do I do

My wife's case was put on hold due to covid 19. We received this email on Thursday. It's a day that we have been waiting for.. The letter clearly states what we should do and we are overjoyed.

The only problem we are having is/ if the red marking on the ds260 mark on the letter is a mistake. In my opinion it seems as though they were about to add something and decided to scratch it off.

I would like for anyone else to advise us on their opinion once you look at the attachment.

So yes I know that Administrative Review is typically a black hole where visa requests go to die. In any case, my husband had his interview on January 5th,2021. He was asked for additional picture ID from 10-15 years prior. My husband had his previously issued Passport with him at the time of the interview. However, it was issued 9 years prior and they would not accept it. He was provided a 221(g) form and all of the requested items were provided on January 6th, 2021 to the appropriate drop off center. Since then the case status updates have varied in time frame with the same message of Refused. The first was on Feb. 5th, the second on Feb. 12th, the third update on Mar. 11, and recently again on July 2nd. We have already submitted two inquiries with the Congressional Rep (In April of 2021) where they were told that the case is still under Administrative Review. The most recent request we submitted was done on June 27th,2021 which leads me to believe it was the only reason the CEAC website updated the status to July 2nd.

I have two questions at this point:

1. Why do they need photo ID from 10-15 years prior? (My husband is not that old we were only able to provide his WAEC Card and some student IDs from His Uni ).

2. Would it be considered okay for us to go ahead and file the Mandamus lawsuit? (We don t want to be stuck in Administrative Review for two to five years like we have been seeing).

I filed for my son s N600 Feb 24,2021, It got approved pretty quickly and oath ceremony (certificate collection) was scheduled for March 29, 2021 without a biometric appointment. Surprisingly I got a mail today for a biometric appointment sometimes towards end of July. Has this happened to anyone else to have a biometric appointment after getting a certificate of citizenship?
