Hey everybody, after a joyful wedding we are now preparing our aos packet. As we all know the marvelous decision has been made to require all i-485 forms to have an I-693. Woohoo Anyhow. I am trying to find a civil surgeon who a) does not try to scam me into a full medical and b) doesn t ask for 300-500 dollars for a bit of paperwork. My question to everyone is: is this amount of money normal for this bit of paperwork? And: if it isn t, does anybody know a civil surgeon in the Orlando area who doesn t try to get you to do a full medical exam and/or make you pay full price? don t get me wrong, if this is a normal price I m a-ok with it. I just want to make sure I m not getting conned

Hi hello! So me and my fiance are filing for a K1 visa and to start with we'd be gathering all the documents required to send along with the I-129F. She's from the Netherlands whereas I am the U.S citizen. I was wondering if a birth certificate alone is enough proof that I am a U.S citizen or am I required to provide my passport aswell alongside my fiance's passport?
As of right now I don't have a passport, that's why we're worried. I requested it about 5 months, it got sent to the wrong address, now they're saying they don't even have my passport application so we're frustrated and worried taken re-requesting a passport would take even longer and post-pone our entire plans/schedule. Any help/answers are appreciated! Thanks.

   Hi friends!
When I was researching before entering the US, I saw someone made a beautiful checklist on what to have in the i-485 etc. But now I can't seem to find it. Does anyone have it or anything similair? It was an actual list with checkboxes, I know there's the guide but I preferred the one I looked at haha.

   Hi dear friends!!
We went to the SSA office last friday, it was a BREEZE, made an appointment online (10000% recommend doing this, I hear some people call and wait for a long time, I scheduled mine in 5min), she said that it can take upto 4 weeks because they have to check with immigration, but I always read about 2 weeks, is this an updated wait time? Or do they say 4 weeks and it's usually around 2 weeks?

Not that it really matters, because all I can do is wait anyway, but our desired wedding date was Dec 12th, and we seem to need a SSN to get a marriage license, so if it's 4 weeks, it's going to be tight haha.

Hi dear VisaJourney community,I am currently preparing my AOS documentation so that when we are ready, we can file them as quickly as possible. One of the requirements for Form I-485 is to provide my I-94. I have an extensive I-94 as I've been hopping back and forth between NL and the US every few months. I provided it during my K1 application.

However, when I tried to pull up my I-94 today...the website said there was no record of my travels. Which is very odd. Is this normal after a status change (from VWP to K1)? Should I send a message to the CBP?

(I checked if I had filled in my details correctly...five times)
