US Immigration from Kenya

The marriage that created a step-child relationship happened when the child was 18. They are now 20. As we are waiting for Covid to open up the local embassy, is it possible for me (USC) to start a petition to bring my step-child over? The way I read it online is that we will have to wait until the mom gets here and then she will have to file for them. I was hoping to have the case created before the child turned 21.

Got DQ on 23rd March 2020 when I was working , now it's 2021 no interview yet ,case still at NVC and I have retired. Should I notify NVC that I have retired, I am the petitioner.

How does this affect our case?

NB filled my 2019 taxes beginning of this year while working.

Hi VJ members , when I applied for my US passport I applied for my daughter too as she was below 18 of age, I submitted my NC , her green card and birthcertificate, I recieved my passport but didn't recieve hers or any of the documents, they didn't issue a passport for her, since Nov 25, 2020 till now we got nothing back, in October 2021 my daughter will apply for her naturalization , Can she apply for naturalization while her green card is still kept at National passport center, I believe that they lost all our documents, I called them many time, sent them emails and even sent them a return prepaid envelope to get our documents back but nothing till now. We know her Alien number and I have a photo copy of her green card, is that enough to apply or not.
