| DCF in Italy for job offer from current client? |

I (USC) live in Italy, have been married for nearly 4 years to an IT citizen, and am currently an independent (remote) contractor for an American company, who will transition me to normal full-time employee status if I'm willing to move back to the US. Doesn't seem like there's a lot of data on the Naples consulate's discretionary tendencies, but thought I'd ask anyway if anyone thinks we might be able to qualify for DCF in this sort of situation if my employer provides me with a job offer letter?

I (US citizen) am filing an I-130 for my wife (Italian citizen) through the Naples Consulate due to exceptional circumstances (short-term job relocation in the US). I am still in Italy and will be in the US on December 1st. I have the first appointment at the consulate on November 21st where I need to bring the I-130, I-130A and all that other good stuff. On the second page where it asks for Mailing Address and then later Physical Address, do I put my current address in Italy where I'm currently residing, or do I put the address I will be at once I arrive in the US? If the former,Should I be using the "In Care Of Name" section to name my wife in case mail arrives after I have left? Sounds like I'm overthinking this maybe. Thank you in advance, this community has been invaluable for preparing us, not sure what would have happened if it didn't exist.

She got her medical exam done in Italy, and we entered the US together on July 5 of this year. We got married and now we are submitting the AOS but she has misplaced her I-693 packet somewhere between the Port of Entry and home. She gave the packet to the CBP agent and got it back, but since we left the airport... who knows. Do we just bite the bullet and get another medical exam done (potentially with all the vaccines since I don't think she has any of her medical records)? She told me they don't require the form submitted in the package but I've seen conflicting information. Could we just submit the I-485 and wait to see if they send an RFE, and maybe she finds it before then? Thanks.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share something we re currently navigating in our CR-1 visa journey. I m a U.S. citizen and italian citizen planning to move back in Italy, and my husband (the beneficiary) is an Italian citizen currently living in Dubai. As we prepare to file our I-130, we re looking into the possibility of selecting the U.S. Consulate in Naples, Italy, rather than the default assignment of Abu Dhabi, which currently has an interview wait time of over 2 years and 8 months - something we simply can t manage emotionally or logistically. What I found: According to the Foreign Affairs Manual (FAM) 9 FAM 504.4-8(C)(d): It would be preferable for the couple to apply where the principal applicant resides. 9 FAM 504.4-8(C)(e): However, if that is inconvenient, the couple could select the consulate where the derivative spouse resides. Question for the community> CONTEXT: Not applied yet. I plan to be in Italy next Sunday with a one-way ticket (planned time ago) - Might have opportunity to request a DCF as I've been interviewing (please note that I'm in tech ans often interview can last over 5 months) Thank you
