US Immigration from Haiti

Hello,

I am looking for resources/insights of some sorts to help bring MIL to the US. We petitioned since January 2020 and a few months later, petition was approved. All documents have been provided and case awaiting interview since August 2020. Since then, crickets, no updates, just the standard "pending interview date". The political situation is increasingly getting worse in Haiti and everything is worrisome. Hubby is an only child and thus she has no one else really over there. Is there anything we can do? Alternatives? Anything information will be greatly appreciated!

Does adding an accompanying derivative child to my case at NVC change DQ date?

I am trying to schedule an appointment for a CRBA at the Port-Au-Prince embassy for about 2 months now but i am not able to. Does anybody have any luck doing this, if yes can you please share how you did?

My husband applied for a green card for my father-in-law. I-130 was approved, and the NVC says the case has been sent to the embassy in Haiti for an interview to be scheduled. It's been 4 months and we haven't heard anything. We submitted a request for an update on the USCIS website, but apparently they are just now responding to requests from May. My husband thinks we need to contact a lawyer to urge things along; I think that's a waste of money and everything is probably just backlogged (as usual). Does anybody know what the normal wait time is for Haiti these days? Or is there anything we can do?

This process has been the most stressful thing I ve ever included myself in. I don t even know where to begin. You guys mine say I am being a little dramatic, but imagine starting a k1 visa since June ,2020 and still no final end.

so my fianc went to do his medical, the medical results came to found something in my fianc lung and they told him to go do another test and that test will take approximately 2 months. It has been two months, so we schedule an interview for July 28th. When he got to the embassy, they told him to go home and they ll be the one to call him. Since then we haven t not heard anything from them. They already got the results. I have been calling them, they said to wait and plus case been updated. Last time it was on august 5th and now august 16 but still no call.
