  1. Update: I received my K1 Visa/Passport on May 4, 2023! Mèsi, Jezi! I was notified by email From: no-reply@ustraveldocs.com and the subject line was Document Status (US Travel Docs) It will say: "Your document(s) have been collected from the US Embassy/Consulate" and other information regarding where to pick up and fees. Before you go to DHL, please go to the bank and pay the $18.50 Fee. After payment, Go to the DHL location but make sure to bring with you: Receipt of the payment fee Email from US Travel Docs Passport (Photo-Copy) Appointment Confirmation (Photo-Copy) Tout laglwa pou Bondye!
  2. Hello! Documentary Qualified on 06/26/2021 (Upon Receiving NOA1 without any RFE's) Appointment Interview was on 04/05/2023 Estimate = 1 year, 9 months, 11 days It took longer because the process for the US Embassy in Haiti was very confusing. We were waiting for the "Instruction Letter" before proceeding to set up an interview appointment when all this time we should have pushed everything manually. Manually meaning: Soon after you have received your NVC Notice, go ahead to: Complete DS-160 and Pay the fee at Sogexpress 'Provide Feedback' on https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ht/ and tell them you need the instruction letter for your medical exam During this waiting period for the instruction letter, I highly recommend to complete the Form I-134 (Declaration of Financial Support) and for your Petitioner to get Tax Transcripts When you have received your Instruction Letter - Go ahead to Centre De Prevention Mediacal for your exam When your Medical exam results are ready (do NOT open the envelope) - Go back to https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ht/ and start checking for available appointments. Goodluck and hope this helps! ❤
  3. In total, we paid $560.00 in US Dollars for the K1 Medical Exam. Bring extra money just in case you will need to be vaccinated.
  4. Bonjou, Weldie! Congrats on the upcoming interview - hope everything goes well! I'm going to list questions the immigration officer asked that I can remember. Keep in mind our case was for a K1 Visa: How and where did both of you meet? How long have you known your fiancé? Was your fiancé married before? When was your fiancé divorced? What is your fiancé occupation? What are the names of your fiancé's children? The officer did not ask a lot of questions, but I suggest that you still Google K1 Interview questions and rehearse what you need to say. Finally, make sure you find some time to relax and breathe prior to your interview. While at the interview, you should: Be confident in the strength of your relationship, Be respectful, polite, Be relaxed, and smile! Did you guys receive your Instruction Letter? Make sure that you have all the documents required - You want your case to be approved on the same day of the interview. Double check the FIANCE (K) VISA DOCUMENT CHECKLIST. If you are missing documents, then work on them right away. The most important is your tax records! Thankfully my Fiancé was organized enough to bring at least 4 years of Tax Transcript records. Hope this helps! ❤
  5. Since you are still in the early stages of K1, my best suggestion now is to have a stable job, therefore when the interview day comes around you have proof that you are currently employed and can support your fiancé. Prior to our K1 interview - I prepared Tax Transcript Records (For at least 5 years), Pay Stubs (4 Recent), Letter from Employer (how long I have been with the company and my income), Checking and Savings Account statements. Please also check the Poverty Guidelines for Affidavit of Support (You must meet or earn more than the amount for X Household Size) Hope all goes well! ❤
  6. Hi euphoriccanineluv! Just did a quick check on your profile and you are from Greensboro, NC - correct? Since you haven't filed I-129F yet, my best suggestion is to obtain a criminal background check from NC state. From a quick google search, I found the NC website to Get a Criminal Background Check You also did mentioned that you were never arrested and if you go to the "Criminal Information" part of Form I-129F, the question is "Have you EVER been arrested or convicted.." - If not, then answer NO I'm sure that if you do request a criminal background check for yourself, it will come up as "clear". If it doesn't, at least you already have a copy and can include it as additional evidence when you do file for a K1. Good luck and hope this helps! ❤
  7. Hi Mistos, When you check your status on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do what does it say? From reading your post, it seems that you are on the early stages of the K1 application. Sounds like you just received NOA1 (Notice of Action 1). NOA1 is a notice of action will either confirm that the government has received the application or it will contain the immigration officer's decision to approve an application or petition. ❤
  8. We have received a response from the U.S. Visa Service Desk: We do not need to create another profile. Wait for further notification via email when passport is ready to be picked up at DHL Hope this helps someone for future references 🙏
  9. bonjou! I'm not sure what is dikini carfour, however, I went to Centre de Prévention Médicale for my Medical Exam. You will need your instruction letter for them to proceed with the exam. You can contact them via WhatsApp +509 37 10 7878. I also attached a checklist that I used prior to my Medical Exam - Hope it helps! Checklist.pdf
  10. Hi Rose! Not sure if you are okay now, but we were on the same situation that we have waited for almost a year to receive the "Instruction Letter" so we completed DS-160, paid fees... We went to our medical exam and got denied because we don't have the instruction letter. So I advice you to send them a message on your account in https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ht/ Click on "Provide Feedback" and relay information that you need the "Instruction Letter" to proceed for your medical exam. Make sure you always have access to your email because they will send the "Instruction Letter" via email.
  11. Hi! We got our approval and after the interview we were given a blue paper to create an account on www.ustraveldocs.com/ht My question is should I create a new account or continue using my previous account? How were you notified that your Passport/Visa is ready for pick up and what do I need to bring to pick it up from DHL? Can someone provide a timeline from date of approval, how long until you got a notification.
