Hello, I know this topic or question was asked many many times, but maybe somebody has a good advice on the current situation. Our petition got approved recently, something I have not expected at all. There are so many rumors that you should not travel during your wait times. Our attorney is telling me how risky it is to actually fly and tells me it puts me into risk of loosing the entire K1 visa and getting banned for 5 years. Is it true? Also I am traveling with an ESTA where I stated my current employment situation, where I am staying. I am bringing over my old passport where I never overstayed and my flight ticket to proof that I am good to get home. I can not really provide any statement of my work, because its not in English. Is that good above or anything else I should bring? Thank you for any answer

Once my husband gets his I-551 stamp, is he allowed to travel back and forth from the states? He has to put in 90 days notice for his work contract. And he would like to be able to visit two times during the wait for the final move.

Hello! I'll be required soon to file for an I-751 but the date conflicts with some short travel plans I have. my 90 days to file starts late November, however I'll be out of country on business purposes until the beginning of January. Would it be possible to prepare the I-751 packet completely and have someone bring it to the post office? Or do you have to be physically present in the US when you ship off the packet? My GC doesn't expire until late February, but I'd rather get an early jump on submitting the forms by having them get sent while I'm not here, in case any bumps in the road happen. Or should I just file as soon as I return? That'll leave me with about 45 days to file.

| Updating SS at least 10 days after the oath ceremony? |

Hi, I was reading about the next steps we need to take after becoming a US Citizen, and on the USCIS website it says that we should wait at least 10 days after the oath ceremony to update our social security. I was wondering if waiting 10 days after the oath ceremony to update my social security is a requirement or a suggestion? Ideally I would like to update it right after my oath ceremony since the social security office is across the street from where the oath ceremony is held. Is doing all of this on the same day possible?

Hey all, my green card was approved months ago (see timeline below). Last week the status on my I131 changed to Case closed benefit obtained by other means and then immediately to Case reopened and Case approved. I received the approval notice in the mail yesterday. Once I receive the AP document, what do I do? I know I have to hand it back to USCIS, do I contact my local field office or the NVC? thanks!
