US Immigration from Colombia

Hello all,

It's been quite a journey the past few years. From the K1 Visa all the way up to the N-400.

I am beginning to put the guides, information, checklists, etc... all together now to file the N-400 with (for) my wife.

I had a question. What has been the general thoughts (pro's / con's?) of mail filing and electronic filing? Has one been better than the other?

And is there anything I should know before beginning this N-400 process and putting together the application?

Question from a friend: Can you request an I601 forgiveness from your country of origin without having had an interview, only I130 is approved, but do you know that when you leave the USA, active punishment for overstaying? Or should you expect the consul to declare you inadmissible in the interview?

They received the documents and cashed the check on July 5 of 2019. They sent me a paper April of 2020 saying I didn't send a proof of being a US citizen so I appeal and sent the proper paper plus a check for 145.00 that they asked. They cashed the check and said she was back in process and I haven't hear anything since then. Any idea how long is this taking? Anyone experiencing this? TIA

Anyone in Colombia get their interview date or had their interview since the bogota embassy resumed limited services?

If so, let us know the date NVC approved you and when you had your interview and how it went!?

can the i751 be filed online? im concerned the paperwork that is mailed will not be pickef up by uscis? also can it be payed online
