K1 I-134 Form - Part 2 and 3 Inquiry

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. My fianc and I are preparing for our interview in just a couple of weeks and I am filling out the I-134 form. I have a couple of questions:

Regarding Part 2 "Information about the Beneficiary"

Beneficiary's Children: My fianc has a son who will be staying with his mother in Venezuela. We intend for him to come and visit us in the future but for our K1 visa, I will not be sponsoring him. I did include him on the I-129F and noted that he would not be traveling with my fianc . My question is, do I list the child on the I-134? Or leave it blank since he is not traveling with my fianc ?

Regarding Part 3 "Income and Asset Information"

Part 3, page 3, number 4 asks for "Balance of all my savings and checking accounts in United States-based financial institutions"

I have two checking accounts and one savings account. I can certainly add up the total of all three, but obviously this number is ever changing as money comes and goes. Currently I have the total for my three accounts listed at the time I am filling out the form. Will it be any issue if my bank statements do not match exactly?

I realize this may be a silly question, because of course we are all spending and making money, so perhaps I am overthinking it. Just want to be sure I don't mess anything up or cause confusion at the interview. BTW...I make well over the poverty guidelines, in case that matters for this question.

Thank you!

I was delinquent for a few years of filling my tax returns, but I took care of them and finally filled the returns last summer (2020). Now, it is approaching the end of March 2021 and I still don t have the tax transcripts, which my fianc will need for her K1 interview.. Yes I filled my tax return for FY 2020 early so I m not in the same position. Is there anything I can do about this, either with the IRS or if she doesn t have the transcripts when she goes for her interview? I gave her a copy of my returns with the W2s, and for FY 2020 I m printing out copies of my pay reports.

Getting married abroad AFTER getting married in the United States (k-1 Visa)

Hi All!

Can I marry my fianc abroad AFTER we get married in the United States on a K-1 visa and AFTER filing form I-485? There are lots of comments on here about NOT marrying abroad BEFORE marrying in the United States because this would invalidate any pending K-1 visa petition/process. But if we get married in the United States first and then travel abroad after receiving a travel document via the I-131 petition that was filed at the same time as form I-485, can we get married abroad while waiting for adjustment of status in the United States? In other words, we'd be married in the United States first and while waiting for permanent residency status would get married abroad. Any comments/suggestions are appreciated. Thank you!

Hi All,

Was hoping to get some input on whether our plans surrounding the I-131 process are reasonable. After my fianc and I get married in the US, we were hoping to file our I-485 immediately, together with form I-131. Ideally, my then spouse and I could return to Colombia and continue working there while waiting for the adjustment to status to be processed. But I'm not sure what the logistical implications of this plan would be (e.g., interviews, biometrics, processing times, etc.). Any comments/suggestions are welcome. Thank you!
