US Immigration from Canada

Hello,

So I am currently waiting for an interview at the Montreal embassy , I was dq in Feb of this year. I have all of my documents in order , but I don't have my Kuwaiti police check( I worked there for 5 years). Unfortunately , I can't apply for it either because once you are no longer a resident you are not able to get one done. I spoke to my lawyer about it and he said the it "should" be fine , but this has me on edge.

What should I do? Is there an alternative form that I can fill out?

If I have a solid 14 day quarantine plan in place.

I haven't seen my husband since March 2020, so I broke down today and told him that hell or high water I was gonna see him before the end of the year. Since he can't come here due to a mandatory 14 day quarantine when he returns to Canada, he said we should look into me visiting him. So that's what I did.

Called up CBSA and asked the officer if I (a Canadian PR) could visit my husband (a Canadian citizen) for less than 14 days. I was expecting a flat no, but the officer said that if I have a solid 14 day quarantine plan in place, I can leave whenever I want. He said they can't hold me hostage there, and as long as I stay in our house for the entirety of my visit (which I planned to do anyway), that I would be good.

So now I'm going to Canada for 10 days in November. I'm so excited to finally see my husband again! Oh and our little pups that are driving him crazy, haha.

It has been almost a year since we uploaded our docs to the NVC and we've been waiting since December for an interview. Should we be reaching out to the NVC to satisfy the requirement to contact them every year to prevent a case expiring or does that no longer apply once we are DQ'd? Alternatively, does their email letting us know we were DQ'd count as contact?

Hey Visa Journey!

I submitted my N-400 application for naturalization back in June 11th 2020. I recieved my receipt notice shortly after but fast foward to present I haven't heard anything in respects to my biometrics being done etc. My local Application support center is based in NewYork. I promise I'm in no way trying to sound ungrateful about the pace they're working at but it feels like I should've heard something from USCIS by now. Is the backlog that serious for us in NewYork? If anyone is in a similar situation could you provide answers to what your thoughts are please with whats happening? Much thanks!!

I would like to know everyones experiences when it came to filing for the cr1 visa. Did any of you used a lawyer or filed by yourselves. I'm looking into filing by myself to obviously save a lot of money from paying lawyer fees, ive been quoted 5000$ usd . What are your recommendations? I am new on this website and ive heard theres a lot of help when it comes to filing for visas on this website. Let me know your experiences. Thank you in advance.

my situation is fairly basic. American and canadian citizens married. Never been deported or had any problems with immigration on both sides.
