I-751

Hello everyone,

We have sent form I-751 last month. It has been a month since USCIS has received our paperwork via FedEx (we have proof of delivery) but we have not received any notification in the mail, or email (signed up for e-notification), personal bank check has not been cashed out yet. We are just waiting to get the receipt number from them. Tried calling them, also sent them an email but has not received any response yet. Does anyone know what is causing the delay? Does anyone experiencing the same thing? Your help is much appreciated.

Thank you for your time and responses in advance!

mistake on I-864

I'm in Canada awaiting my Cr1 interview which I expect to receive for late Feb/early March. Upon reviewing my husband's I-864 and our joint sponsor's I-864, I realized that I made a mistake on my phone number on both forms. Is this something I should change and just bring a new copy with me to the interview? If so, would I still need to bring an orignal signed copy from the joint sponsor? I can't get a new original signed copy from my Father in Law as a joint sponsor before the interview, unless he mails it. Any help welcome!

Are NOA1s being delayed too?

I filed to have my EAD & AP renewed three weeks ago and I haven't received any kind of electronic notification or anything in the mail saying it was received with a case number. Every other application I've ever sent I usually got a text notification within a week. Are these notifications seeing delays now too? My USPS tracking shows someone signed for the application package when it arrived.

Questions about travelling back and forth after getting green card approval

Hoping someone could answer a question for us as VisaJourney has been a lifeline for us during this process so hopefully someone can help... My husband and I are retired and we have lived in Canada for many years. We are relocating to the US to be with my family. I am USC(petitioner) hubby is Canadian (beneficiary). Thankfully his immigration interview is finally in January, after that we will be purchasing a house in the US and selling our home in Canada but not until all is approved before proceeding. I have provided domicile in the US so hopefully that will be acceptable in his interview.

Our question is, does his green card get activated upon our first trip to the US, in which we will be starting the process of searching for a new home but not yet moving, or is it on our actual moving day when we leave Canada permanently, which will be within the 6 month expiry date on the green card. I imagine there will be a few trips to the US before we find a home. Also once his green card is activated do we still have the 6 month expiry date on it or do we lose that time after it gets activated and what happens then with going back and forth?. I hope I'm wording all of this correctly so that it makes sense. Any input would help..Thanks

Joint sponsor as household member in i-944?

Hello,

I received an RFE for my i-944 and am currently filling it out. For "household size" we should include the beneficiary filling out the i-944 and myself (her spouse) - 2.

My father, who listed me as a dependent, is also our joint sponsor and filled out an i-864. Do we include him and his income as part of our household in the i-944? The instructions state that someone who lists you as a dependent should be included. But I am the spousal household member, not the declarant. The declarant is not listed as a dependent anywhere.

Thanks!
