US Immigration from Canada

Hi,

This my be a straight forward question.

My family and I are preparing for the Medical appointments before our Consulate interview in January.

My two daughters are aged 3 1/2 years old and 22 months. One of the required vaccinations is Hepatitis A, "required for children age 12-23 months." So my younger daughter is required to get it because she is going to be 22 months when the interview happens. But my other daughter is over 23 months so she does not need to get it?

So I tried to call NVC today at least 30x but each time I get a busy signal on my phone. Has anyone else tried and have it gone through? This has never happened to me before. I ve always called and it s at least rung but never just gave me a busy signal outright

So our NOA1 has my last letter of my first name missing (First name: Venkata Subramanian. First name spelled on i797 noa1: Venkata Subramania. Is that a problem?

My Canadian company wants to keep me on when I move to the US. I realize the drawbacks to this are CAD/USD conversion and lack of health insurance. However, no gap in employment would be helpful. So I have a few questions that I haven't found clear answers on in the search function:

1. Do I need to switch to contract instead of permanent salaried after I have my PR so that I'm not paying Canadian taxes via pay deductions?

2. If I activate the PR at the border and then return here for a few more months to tie loose ends, am I officially beholden to the IRS for work done in Canada from that day forward?

3. Will I end up paying overlapping taxes in both countries for those few months I live in Canada with a green card?

4. Is there any period of time between the C/IR-1 activation and receiving a SSN that I cannot work? Or is there something like registering a tax number that would allow me to continue working while in Canada?

Hello all so I m curious as to if there is much more to be done than what I have done.

I interviewed at Montreal November 18th. Approved. K1 visa package left Montreal December 1st. Last scan shows it arriving and leaving Burnaby on the 5th. First and second delivery standard date 4th and 8th missed with no info since except item delayed- stay tuned for details. Which it has maintained since the 9th.

I called customer service on the 10th and a lovely agent made a service ticket due to the nature of the documents. It will take effect on the 17th if no progress has been made on my package.

Is there anything else I can do? Should I notify the CSRA unit in Montreal that this has happened? I know there is not much they can probably do... and I 100% understand the postal system is beyond its capacity due to the holidays and covid but... I m at a loss and I m extremely stressed out not having this safe in my hands right after waiting for so long for that interview... my life is in the package...

any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
