US Immigration from Canada

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this in, my apologies if it's not the right place. The third item on the P3 checklist is "Adoptions decree". Who is that intended for? Are they referring to children adopted by the beneficiary (So, me) or are they referring to anyone who was adopted applying for a K visa? I was adopted in NS, I have my long for birth certificate but I have no idea what an adoptions decree is...

We were at the step of providing Affidavits of Support, and financial documents... But we didn't send anything because of the covid. I have questions, but to put you in the context so you understand, we can not move in US till my 16 yo son is 18 for personal reasons.

Can we pause the paperwork till he's 18 yo? If yes provide me some extra infos on that.

With the covid, is there anything changed in the requirement? Like, will my husband have to go in US to find a job, establish domicile... (He already own a house there, credit card and some bills).

Is a online US work would work?

If we decide to cancel the process of immigration do they refund anything we paid?

It is now so confusing with covid...

We checked on our I-485 that we would like USCIS to forward our information to the SS office and generate a new social security number. We only did this because our local SS office was closed due to covid-19. We can now get an appointment at the office, and a social security number. Is this still advisable after checking "yes" on our form? Will the overlap cause any issues with our application? Other thoughts?

Hello All!

I had an interview on Decemeber 11th and was approved! I picked up my passport with my visa inside the following week.

My question is : my visa expires in 6 months ( May 20th) but I have a contract with my current employer until June 30th. I'm not sure what to do, I was planning on flying to the States in March for a couple of days and then coming back and finishing my contract( not sure if this is ok), but now I dont know if this is an option given the fact that now everyone entering Canada is required to produce a negative Covid test( the issue with that is if im staying for a couple of days where would I get a test and what is the possibilty it would come back in time). What should I do?

check. How does one actually do this?

- can I go to a local police station and do it there?

- or can I do it all through commissionaires (screenshot included) or do they just take it through the fingerprint?

- does it matter if it s ink or digital finger printing?

usually you have to put in a lot more information or fill out a form, do you need to do this for the rcmp? Im So confused!
