I see a lot of posts about those traveling from Canada to the US during the Pandemic, but I was wondering if anyone has traveled from the US to Canada? My husband and I are looking into a trip starting the middle of this February to middle of April. We would typically never plan a trip this long but we want to ensure proper quarantine before we even join a bubble family at our destinations (we are thinking about visiting two provinces during the trip - one a month). I have done a lot of research and believe we will be okay but I wanted to check here to see if anyone has an experience. Some additional details about our trip. My husband is a Canadian citizen currently going through AOS. We would be traveling with his AP. I am a USC and his spouse. We believe we will be okay as he is a Canadian visiting his parents and sister, and I am his spouse (family reunification). We will arrive at the border with a detailed quarantine plan (his parents have a basement that we plan on staying in two weeks before we come in contact with them. His parents would help us with groceries before we arrive and we would have a separate entrance and washroom facilities we can use until our two weeks of quarantine are up. We will download the proper ArriveCan app and it might be a bit much but I plan on asking them to take pictures of the location to present to the border if necessary too. We also have zero intention of going in public at all except for walks or drives even after the two weeks are up. Additionally, during this pandemic I have been working from home and have the capability of working anywhere that has WiFi, so we will not have any issues about the necessary time to properly quarantine and see his family for some time after. Please note, we don't take this lightly and considering the restrictions in both countries, would prefer if his family could visit here instead. But unfortunately that is not an option, so we are looking to follow all of the rules and make the safest trip possible. We don't take this pandemic lightly and honestly have done so little here in NJ and I haven't seen so much of my family during this pandemic as well because we are trying to reduce our contact with everyone as much as possible. But I have at least seen my parents and siblings, so if my husband can do that safely and legally, we would like to make this trip. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Does getting a request for initial evidence for the I-864 joint sponsor delay everything in regards to getting my EAD and AP? Will they only issue my biometrics appt once this is resolved or are they separate?

Just a quick question for anyone that has experience regarding traveling while a I129-F is still being processed. I have been researching current processing times for the K1 visa and everything on the USCIS side seems fairly normal. But the NVC is stage after the NOA2 isn't looking good (10 Months) just to receive an interview. Has anyone here Traveled during the NOA1 or the NOA2 period? I normally go to the united states to be with her every year (for the past 3 years) and i stay for around 4 months. Like i said earlier we were hoping the k1 visa wouldn't be held up like it looks like it going to be due to the crappy covid. So is traveling after a I129-F has been received a bad idea?

Hello! My husband just had his immigrant visa interview on Dec 14th at Montreal. The Consular Officer said everything is fine on their end, but my husband was handed a 221g because the Consulate did not receive his medical results by time of interview. They kept his passport. After the interview, my husband's CEAC status went from Refused to Issued on Friday, Dec 18th. We were SO happy to see this since we figured they received his medical results. Then, his status changed from "Issued" to "Ready" on Dec 21st. Shortly after, his status went back to "Refused" on Dec 23rd. The Consulate finally "officially" confirmed receipt of my husband's medical via email on Tuesday (Dec 22). Should I be concerned about these many CEAC status changes? The CO didn't say he needed any additional information from my husband at time of interview (only required the medical results). I'm stressing out that his status changed so many times and landed on "Refused" after already being issued. Is he just in an admin processing of some sort? Trying NOT to worry, but can't help it. Let me know if what we're seeing is normal?
