My wife and I are going through marriage based Adjustment Of Status currently. She came here on a tourist visa and we got married eventually, then filed a I-130, I-485, I-131, & I-765 concurrently. Our interview is scheduled for February 2nd so I'm trying to make sure I know everything we need to bring to the interview. I have a pretty good idea, but I'm not sure if we need to bring the original forms we filed such as copies of the initial I-485 and I-130? And what about all the supporting evidence and documents we had to submit with I-864 affidavit of support and I-944 public charge (paystubs, tax returns, 12 months of asset/account statements, credit reports, and much more) That seems like an unnecessary amount to bring with considering they already received it all, right? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks

Hey all, Just wanted to share an update (not sure if this has been discussed yet) but moving forward from November, all RCMP finger print based police record searches under the Privacy act has been changed to the name "Criminal Record Check for Personal Use" The information would still be the same as long as the Reason for the check is listed under "Other", this gives an entire record check. Just in case anybody gets theirs back & panics that it reads differently!

Hi VJ fellows! I noticed for a while that montreal consulate has opened back up for "limited services" for immigrant and fiance visas. I'm nowhere near the stage where I will get an interview but I was just wondering if they are processing any K1s as of right now? Tried to look for anything recent here but can't find anything (other than someone who recently got an interview for Jan 2021 but for CR1). I know i should be patient but I know a load would just be lifted from my heart if I know at least the process is going, albeit slowly, as opposed to being halted altogether! Thank you all

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/immigration/article248229910.html More than a million immigrants in the United States who have applied for U.S. citizenship through naturalization, adjustment of status and other benefits have been waiting for their biometric services appointment at a local Application Support Center (ASC) to provide their fingerprints, photograph and/or signature. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, in-person services were canceled at Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) offices between March and June of last year, and there have been subsequent restrictions after opening to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Thousands of biometrics appointments were canceled and USCIS said it would reschedule them once it normalized operations. But many applicants have yet to receive their rescheduled or new appointment, and their immigration processes have thus been delayed This week, for the first time, U.S. immigration authorities provided an update about the situation at Application Support Centers. USCIS acknowledged that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is experiencing delays in scheduling or rescheduling appointments at ASCs to collect biometric data from applicants.

Hi everyone We got married (hubby is USC) in July 2020 and filled I130 in August (TSC to NSC). On 130 form we've indicated that we're in for consular processing in Montreal, Canada, but with C19 travel restrictions I don't think we have the patience to wait another year or so for the interview without seeing each other. Is there a way for us to do AOS from US after the I130 gets approved? I was thinking of filling K3 but considering the timelines not sure if that makes sense. Please advise Many thanks nika
