Received my Packet 3 instructions and working on collecting the documents. Where can I get the police certificate? How long does it take? Is there anything specific I need to request?

I need to have new visa photos taken before my interview, and I was wondering 1. If it's required to have the date stamped on the back and 2. If it's not required, is it okay to have the date stamped on the back? Thanks!

My husband and I just ran into this, and I thought I'd drop a note on the forum in case no one else has mentioned it. We applied for adjustment of status here in Los Angeles on 12-24-2019, but because COVID hit and shut everything down, we didn't have our AOS interview until January 6 of this year. Right at the start of the interview we had an unpleasant surprise: it turned out that my husband needed to get a new medical exam, because the one he had for the K-1 visa was only good for sixteen months, and we were past that point due to the long delay in getting a green card interview. Fortunately our interviewer wanted to get our case processed and done with just as much as we did, so she proceeded with the rest of the interview and finished all the other steps. She kept our file pending in her office and told us to get the medical exam done and then bring the sealed envelope from the doctor to the front window at the USCIS office, and they would deliver it back to her so she could finish her processing and send out the green card. We appreciated her help!

Hey everyone, Just FYI, my biometrics appointment has been rescheduled again. Filed I-485 in early May of 2020, got an RFE a few weeks later, took care of that, and got the notice in early December for a Christmas Eve biometrics appointment. Between receiving the notice and the actual date, the federal government decreed Christmas Eve to be a national holiday, and so offices were closed (I still drove more than an hour to my appointment location, just in case! it was certainly closed). I got a notice less than three weeks later inviting me to a new biometrics appointment on January 20th. USCIS's website says offices, including application support centers, are closed for January 19 and 20 for safety reasons, they said. Things were going pretty well and smoothly up until now! We're running into serious delays, as most people are... wish you all the best and hope everything goes well.
