Hey Visa Journey! Hypothetical question. If a person is a passort holder from a country that doesn't have visa requirements eg.Canada, UK and they need to travel outside of the U.S. right after naturlization, are they able to return to the states with valid foreign passport and their naturlization certificate? Would that individual have to wait for their U.S. passport to be issued or can they travel and re-enter the states while the U.S. passsport is still pending? Much Thanks!

I've scanned through all forums about this and can't really find an answer. I'm trying to gather evidence for the I-130 (Additional proof of marriage section) - We are filing online. I'm still trying to figure out what I should and should not include. We only live 3.5 hrs from each other, so we were seeing each other pre-COVID basically every weekend. We drive to each other by car, so we don't have any plane tickets, etc. We have taken multiple trips together so I understand I can also use that. We went to university in the USA together as well, do I include photos of our time there? We do have lots of wedding photos so we can use that too. I just don't want to give them too much since it's 6 years worth of photos. Additionally, format wise... Since I'm filing online it's a little bit different. But did anyone put pictures in a word document with a caption (Maybe 1 or 2 pics per page) and then convert to PDF and submit? Do I include iPhone time stamps for the pictures or no? I am very lost in this section so any help would be amazing!

Hello- We are both almost 20 and my boyfriend and I want to marry and have him stay here. I (USC) stayed with him in Canada for a few months. Then we came to Houston recently to his mom's who is a permanent resident here. He's from Canada. I understand all the forms and I will most likely require a sponsor. I work full time now in Houston, started recently $10 an hour with good tips at a high class restaurant, but my parents have always filed their income tax with me as their dependent in California. So I've never filed an income tax on my own. His mom is a permanent resident and will sponsor. I am concerned about the I 944 and I 864 because I've never filed income tax on my own and have only recently started working full time. His mom earns 65,000 a year and has about 350,000 in cash assets. My boyfriend and I have combined 27,000 US in cash assets. He is student finishing associate's in finance. Can my boyfriend and I marry and have him adjust status and stay? Thanks Kierra

Hi all, I have some money with a Canadian bank (in CAD) that I want to bring over to the US for investing following a move. Normally I would do Norbert's gambit with my Canadian broker to convert a large sum like this, but since become a non-resident, they wont let me trade in my account, and I can't open any new accounts with other brokers either. In any case, I think doing the conversion in Canada may have some undesired tax consequences. In light of that I was thinking it may make sense to transfer the money to a CAD account with a US bank/broker, and do Norbert's Gambit that way. My Canadian investment broker had the option to hold both USD and CAD accounts, but I haven't seen much of that with the US brokers (Fidelity, Vanguard). Is this an option that some brokers offer? Do I have better options available? I'd like to avoid paying thousands in foreign exchange fees.
