US Immigration from Canada

Hi all,

I have a question about the RFE deadline. On January 26, we received a status update saying a Request for Evidence was to be sent to our mailing address. On February 9, we had still not received the Notice, so we submitted an e-request to request a resend of the Notice. It is now February 26, and we have not received the first nor the second Notice. I am getting anxious because our application will be abandoned if we are unable to respond to the RFE by the deadline stated on the RFE notice, but as we never received any notice, we have no idea when the deadline might be. Does anyone know, generally, what the deadline to submit a RFE is from the date it was sent?

I recently left my job in Canada and qualify for unemployment insurance through them. I will make them aware that Im in the US. My question is does this make me subject to being a public charge? Is this acceptable to do? I am the beneficiary... my husband is the sponsor and makes well above the poverty guidelines on his own.

I am sorry if there is already a thread. Please merge if there is. I just wondered of any thoughts now that the proclamation 10014 was lifted by Biden yesterday what the Montreal consulate will do regarding family visas that were under that ban.

We are an F3 visa. We had an interview booked with Montreal March 23 2020. It got canceled 5 days before it cause of the pandemic. Then we got stuck under that ban for a year. I'm hoping they will start rescheduling those that they had to cancel that were stuck under the ban soon.

I understand they are limiting interviews right now cause of covid still and there is a backlog but I'm hopeful those that got canceled last year will hear something sooner than later.

They caught up pretty fast after the last shut down and got through rescheduling all their canceled appointments. Hopefully they will do that again.

Anyone else in this spot? Any thoughts on what they might do? How long it might take to be rescheduled?

I noticed my approval for my I-29f petition will be exipiring in March 2021. I have not yet heard from the NVC regarding the next steps (Though I do have my case number and invoice number as I called them). I have submitted an inquiry on the Ask NVC form online inquiring about how to renew my petition but have not heard back. Does anyone else know how I ca get the petition approval extended? I would hate for it to expire but am unable to move forward as the Montreal Embassy is not taking any more cases at this time.
