Police came to house door (false alarm) |

Just want to be sure I don't have to report this. I already submitted my N-400 application to USCIS, but my wife accidentally called 911 and a police officer came and looked through our house to be sure everything was okay. He didn't say anything about being detained, but it's a contact and I wanted to know if I need to report it to USCIS. She dialed 911 by mistake (had the phone in her hand when she fell asleep), and she gets anxiety, so when they sent a police officer to our house to make sure everything was okay, she made me answer the door. When he came in, I stepped aside and showed her to him and just let her explain everything.

Is it random which center your I-130 goes to? Or is it based on where you re filing from/which country your spouse is from? Some of the locations have drastically longer processing times than the others. My spouse is from Canada

Has anyone had an issues adding their Receipt Number (received via the text message) to the MyUSCIS or old website? It wont find mine so i cant add it and i still havent gotten my paper NOA. I also called USCIS and they said they cant find the number and to wait 60 days for the paper NOA. All these other folks from the month i filed have received their NOA in a week or less. Can anyone give me some comfort? I'm freaking out that it's already somehow lost in the system now.

How strict are the domicile requirements for the CR1 visa? I plan to sponsor my Canadian girlfriend once we are married for a cr1 visa but we are still living in Canada and don t wanna spend a long period apart in order for me to move back alone to establish domicile. Can we apply and get approved by convincing them that we definitely plan on moving once we get the visa? If so how would we do that? We plan to move ASAP and have family there and we have a joint US bank account and I plan on going back to Uni once there.

My husband and I recently bought a house in the US and his apartment lease is about to be up in Canada. We are thinking about using his mom's address for his physical address in Canada as we continue to travel and pay for our home in US. He is barely home in the Vancouver area as he works 3 weeks or more at a time at a mine and travels to the US when possible on his off weeks. Would this affect our immigration process or would he need rent or lease an apartment as our paperwork is being processed?
