Hi Members, I want to confirm regarding birth certificates. 1. My birth certificate is from India and its both foreign language and English underneath each line. Moreover it s laminated too. Did anyone have the same document and was it accepted for K1 interview. I have my interview next week at Montreal. 2. My fianc s birth certificate is in Arabic. But he has the translated copy too in English. Should that be accepted at the consulate interview. Both the documents are quite old but includes all details. Does birth certificate cause any issue or delays in the approval process and are there any other documents that I should keep with me to support birth information other than the certificate. Please advise. Thanks

My visa petition has been accepted and I have filed everything requested as well as additional documents as requested with the exception of one. Currently my spouse and I live in Germany while he completes his time with the Reserves. Immigration is wanting proof of domicile in the United States. We of course have an American address on record however, I came directly to Germany to join my husband and therefore do not have any paperwork to definitively prove I am domiciled in the U.S. How do military spouses prove domicile in the U.S. when they move directly to a foreign country to be with their spouses? Also, I have been told that I can receive a green card during this process however, I have not seen anything to that affect. I feel like my progress on my file was going well until now and I am a bit lost. This time the NVC has not been helpful; their reply to my email (similar wording as above simply stated I need to file the appropriate paperwork). Thank you.

Hi there, New member to this forum here! I am a Canadian, married to a US citizen and we are currently filling out all the paperwork and compiling evidence to submit with our AOS package. I am wondering if anyone would have an AOS checklist specific for someone adjusting from B2 visitor status? Or by chance a table of contents you'd be happy to share with me? We are planning to complete all forms and submit ourselves, and as you all know it is extremely daunting! Thanks in advance. Goodluck to other upcoming filers and to others who are playing the waiting game!! Hailey
