US Immigration from Canada

I will be applying/paying for expedited passport but travelling via auto, not a booked flight ticket. The booked flight ticket is, in my understanding, what gets the expedited in a week or so. With regular expedited without proof of travel it still could take weeks? If I have to leave the country before the passport arrives can I not re-enter with my original country passport? Or have a family member fedex the passport when it does come in to my home country for use to get back into the US?

I just got my RCMP check back. It seems to be the correct one.

When I was at the detachment I put my married last name, my maiden name and my ex husbands last name for other last names.

The only last name that shows on the RCMP check is my married last name.

will that matter? Or are they going to want something with my maiden name and my ex husbands on it?

Hi everyone! Does it matter if my passport is in my maiden last name? All our paperwork this far (just at nvc stage about to send everything off) has my married last name.

Should I be looking at replacing my passport with my married name?

I am just about to send out our i130 petition and I was wondering is there a good time to start compiling information for the expedite? I know you can t request a expedite until getting NOA1, but I just want to be ready and have all the documents ready right when I can send them! Any information on expediting more specifically extreme hardship that would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

I am just starting the whole cr1 visa journey! My husband and I are looking threw all the information in the I130 petition filled out by our lawyer and we see that the consulate I will be taking my interview says Ottawa. Do they actually do them there? I thought it was Montreal only. I asked our case manager and she said that yes they do but I just want to make sure in advance before we send out the petition for good!
