Good morning. I am a US citizen by naturalization (not born in the US). My son, who is Canadian (born in Canada) has his interview scheduled at the US Consulate in Montreal, Canada in January. He was documentarily qualified in October 2025. The standard instructions for the US Consulate in Montreal for the interview as to what documents to bring, also state "Petitioner's Birth Certificate original and a copy", if applicable. I live in the US. He is in Canada. My question is: do I need to provide my original birth certificate (I was born in Pakistan) to him so he can take it with him to his interview in January? It doesnt make sense, since I was not born in the US. I will gladly send it to him, so he can have it with him and not need it, but if it is not needed, how do I confirm that? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello. Recieved packet 4 today and hopped into usvisa-info site made and account got to the payment page and it's got the amount but no link anywhere to actually make the payment. That page also says there's no appointment dates right now and to check back. Do I have to have a date to pay? Or do I have to pay before I get a date? I'm so lost. I just want to give them money and I don't know how!

filling my I-130 currently, but struggling with one of the question "if the beneficiary's native written language does not use Roman letters, type or print his or her name and foreign address in their native written language. The beneficiary is Canadian, but was born in China. Lived in Canada for more than 10 years. She doesn't have dual citizenship, since China doesn't allow dual citizenship. Of course, Chinese doesn't use Roman letters. Should we fill in her name in Chinese characters and the Canadian address in English(it doesn't seem possible to translate an English address into Chinese)? Thank you for any ideas!

I m a Canadian and American Citizen. I just married my Canadian sweetheart while living in Canada. We would like to live in the USA. There SHOULD be no trouble with wife and PR...but I just read that her 20 yr old son is too old (we haven't been together since he was 18). Is there Anything else I can do to have him if we moved?
