My husband and I will take our oath and become naturalized U.S. citizens on the 25th of this month. We have a 17-year-old daughter who currently holds a green card, but her 10-year card is set to expire in November of this year. My question is: after we file her N-600 following our naturalization, will she lose her permanent resident status if the N-600 process isn't completed before her green card expires?

I selected the option to change my name in my N-400 form, however, during the interview, the IO said I couldn't do a name change because I live in a different state than the Federal court house where the oath ceremony would be held. My issue is that I need to change my name ASAP due to name mismatch issues (christened name is commonly dropped from official ID, banks, etc in my home country, whereas my GC/DL/etc in the US have my full christened name). My IO recommended me for approval, and case status shows as ceremony awaiting to be scheduled. To avoid delays after the ceremony, I would like to get my name changed immediately at the local district court. Has anyone done this? Reasons to not do this? I would immediately report the name change via USCIS as expected of GC holders.

Yesterday I uploaded all the applicant required docs and my AOS documents but did not submit yet. After all these were uploaded I added a joint sponsor, Added their name and I864. Received a pop up saying it could take an hour to add them. it s been 28 hours now and still says N/A under fee and support docs. Should it take this long? also since I added the joint sponsor I cannot see my AOS docs at all. If I click on my line it says not submitted and shows the applicants docs not mine? Mine are just gone and I can t even reload any. Any suggestions?

Hello all, NOA1 date Jan 5, 2024, Texas service centre, Canadian beneficiary. myProgress tab was estimating 3 weeks, until yesterday, when US spouse received an email notification. We checked today and the myProgress got pushed to 9 months. Is this normal? We've read that it takes a while for the update to reflect on USCIS.

Hello - Both parents are in their 60s and living in Asia. They are planning to visit USA during summer months. The intent is to visit for 3 months and go back. They visited USA 2 yrs ago and went back within 3 months. They have onging applications for I-130, applied in Dec 2024. With the pending I-130, would it be ok to travel to USA on a B1/B2 for parents in 60s?? Anyone had recent experience?
